A2) I guess that I see more flaws in the system (society) than others around me usually do, and so I often try to avoid being manipulated. It's a thing I love and hate. It makes me very cynical which is hard to deal with.

Whatever catches my eye and suits my mood. Ideas come from Goodreads, Twitter, Amazon recommendations, sequels to a book I just enjoyed...needless to say I have a long TBR list!

Not necessarily. You can grip my attention without it

Tough. I will go with sunrise, because the temperatures are nicer then

c) That's a hard question, because If I'd stop any big events I could completely change the course of the plot in the book. But let's say the battle of Hogwarts, I'd let Harry do his thing but make sure no innocents would die in the castle.

Ash (morethanfairytales) | 115 comments A TBR jar is brilliant. I'm currently trying to finish reading my entire library, and I'm stealing that idea.

A1: Nothing specific, but I love rereading fairytales from the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, etc. I always feel a bit funny doing so in public, because they feel geared toward a younger audience (despite some of the violence and undeniably adult themes).
A2: Hermione Granger. No question.
A3: Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. It's a wonderful, important story that deserves to be told again.

2. Memoirs of a Geisha - still one of the most beautiful books I've read.

Allison | 269 comments A) Life of Pi by Yann Martel. I just couldn't get into it, and could not stand the ending.
B) The Bite of the Mango by Mariatu Kamara. I'm kind of surprised that I haven't seen this book mentioned in any Goodreads discussions that I've come across, as it affected me so deeply. It's one of the only books that I've read more than once, and is an incredible true story that was a real eye-opener to me.
C) Right now, my favourite flavour is coffee. Mmmmm.... :)

A2. Sherlock. Not sure if that counts as "new," but it's fairly recent and I keep hearing great things about it.

A2. I don't actually have one on anyone right now (this came as a shock to me as well when I thought about it)! But I really, really (platonically?) like Frodo from Lord of the Rings if that counts for anything.
A3. Some of it would go to various charities, some to family, the rest divided up between my bank account and college.
