I started reading this today at lunch. I bought the ebook months ago during a sale and several friends have recommended it.
I fancy this but as I have a lot on I will hold back to see if it it gets good comments before purchasing.
This is my first read-along with the club. I'm a few chapters into the book. So far, so entertaining. Though, I feel like I need a cheat-sheet with a basic description of all the human species.

All the different races sound neat, but a cheat sheet would make me appreciate it more. :) I'm liking the book so far as well. It's entertaining and easy to read.
Really enjoying this book. The world and characters feel very real. Something hard to do in Epic Fantasy.
Also a first time read along. liking the book so far. I like the different races so far and the writing style is very nice. Which makes it easy to get drawn into the story.
Very solid book but the 2nd one in the series is a ripper....cant wait for the tyrants law to emerge in a month or so!

Typically, books that feature dragons or swords aren't my most favourite themes about which to read, so the title and cover of this book didn't exactly excite me. 20% into the book, however, and I just can't put it down, I'm loving this book so far. The characters are all very interesting, the writing is smooth - that's enough of a review for now, I'm going back to read more of this great book. :-)
