It's been a good run, guys. But, as with all things, eventually it has to end.

All of us mods, Maria, Brigid, Emmie, Lav, Baxter, Acacia, Kim, and myself have members for a very, very long time. Quite frankly, it has been too long. We wish to pursue other interests. For example, we are thinking of a new group called "Writers Who are Adults and or Children."

Brigid will stay on as moderator because she still feels a slight sentimental attachment to the group, but you should not expect her to stay active...

We have, of course, promoted new moderators. These moderators, we feel, reflect the change in tone of the group. This group is very diverse, and we wanted moderators who would reflect this.

Nikolas hails from Russia and currently lives in Ohio as an exchange student. We believe he would make a good addition to the group because of his fluency in Russian. Being a business man, he will handle the financial aspect of this group. (You can expect links to various t-shirts you can buy in the coming days.)

Nikolas will attract more Russians to the group since the Russian count is at an all time low.

Heidi is from Germany, but she goes to school in Canada making her the true face of diversity. Heidi will not put up with any nonsense and do her best to keep the group on topic and clean. She does not tolerate any inappropriate discussions and thus would be a good police for this group. She only speaks in German.

The mods aren't really gone. That's the prank -- that we were left with a bunch of foreign dictators. (Oddly enough, both of our leaders come from nations notorious for their totalitarian histories.)

They should be back tomorrow, yes. Cleanup will take a few days; therapy, a few months.
