On Goodreads we do have a habit of using 'proper' names which have never appeared on the authors books simply because the name which does appear on the books does not conform to the standards we work to. This might be one of those situations.
They all should be one or the other, I don't mind which but I don't know which to change.

The series is now "The Railway Series".

When I was looking at the seven different versions of the author it seemed easier to fix the issues as I came across them rather than list all the profiles for you. Your original post didn't suggest that you had found all the profiles.
I hadn't found seven so fair enough. I'm curious now how there's 7 different ways to put one author in. I assume ones with a full stop, one without. Anyway I can get on with entering books tomorrow now.

One trick when looking for missspelled authors is to search for the books rather than the author themselves. See which of the books have different author spelling.
Some of the Awdry books had an illustrator as the sole author ie. C. Dalby, Gunvor Edwards

What do we do when an Author's name has been used in a different format to the cover of the book. On here it is Wilbert Audry, on the book it is Rev. W. Audry.
At least one book is under Rev. W. Audry on GR already so that one author has two profiles.
and the series on the book is 'The Railway Series' but has been entered on existing books as 'Railway series', is there a reason for missing 'The' off of a series?
