So do I just list the books on here or what do I do? This is all new to me.
You must first join the challenge here:http://www.goodreads.com/challenges/1...
For the challenge widget, you must enter the number of books you hope to read, it's not important to get this number spot on....you can be under or over...doesn't matter. I look at the exact number of books you read.
Then you'll need to create a name for the shelf you will put the books on. Usually the name of the challenge is the best way to go.
Finally, AND VERY IMPORTANT: as you read the books, be sure to put them on the shelf...that's it!
We do not require reviews, but we do encourage them :)
You also don't have to post anything here other than questions or to discuss an awesome book.
I keep getting "User shelf name not entered." in red. What am I doing wrong? I put in the number and the shelf name.
Maybe you are entering a shelf name that already exists? I know it won't let you do that, it has to be a new shelf, with a new name. Otherwise, I'm going to have to assume it is a GR glitch and ask that you just try again.The only other alternative is that you make a shelf and post a link to it here in the comments and I will check that shelf once the challenge is over.
I swear I won't try to cheat or anything... but all we have to do is add books we've read during the set period to the shelf? I'm really bad about marking books "currently reading" and updating it (mostly because I usually finish a book in 1 sitting)... but I can remember to add my "read" books to the shelf.
Yes, the currently reading part doesn't actually matter. Just make sure your dates are updated and you're good to go just by adding it to the shelf as a read book.
I have a question for the paranormal part of this. Would a Christian read about angels/demons etc count as a paranormal or not?
Absolutely! The angels/demons are considered a.'paranormal' tupe.of.book! :)
I wish there was a way to add ARCs to this :( have done 3 ARCs that would fall into this category "sigh"
I just joined this group because I love reading anything paranormal. :)This sounds like a fun challenge but I have a question. Can I use all the paranormal books I've read since April or just starting from today?
Brenda, yes you can add all the books you read starting April 1, 2013. Make sure you create a specific bookshelf to associate with this challenge though. ;)
Theresa. I think you can add any ARC's that fall into this category, but my suggestion is to send an email message to Cristina just to confirm that. She will get back to you as soon as she can. I hope this helps! :)

All you have to do is read 10 paranormal books. YES, ANY PARANORMAL BOOK WILL DO!! You have three months to read, discuss, and recommend all the wonderful paranormal books out there!!
All the usual rules apply...100 page minimum, and any book you are currently reading should not exceed 50% done as of the minute you read this. :)
Also, don't forget that the minimum number of books to read = one entry...if you exceed that, the number of entries will go up as well.
20 books = 2 entries
30 books = 3 entries
