Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments So I was wondering how you guys started reading. Was it later or perhaps from a very young age?

Me: Always from an early age I read books, every saturday my mum (haha mom, mum same amazing people) would take me to the library. So naturally I read, but it wasn't until I was 9 that I actually became a bookworm. And I've only been reading YA for about 2 years, which isn't that long at all. Ever since I've been book obsessed!

νєяαℓι∂αιиє | 26 comments I've been read to ever since I can remember and I started reading myself around about 5 (maybe before). But I didn't really become obsessed with books till I was... Probably 9 too actually. I was obsessed with Mystery and Adventure back then. Then I became obsessed with Fantasy and I still am. But now I've also added a tinsy bit of YA and Romance.

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments :D Lately I've really enjoyed various dystopian books. GAhhh YA is amazing, enough said!

νєяαℓι∂αιиє | 26 comments I find Dystopian depressing. Lol, I know, that's kind of the point... But still. XD

Really? Well, i see how, but there has to be a happy-ish Dystopia book out there.
How about...Across The Universe by Beth Davis? Or Matched by Ally Condie? Uh...*scratches head*....there's more, but i suddenly can't think of them.

Oh!
Legend by Marie Lu,that's kinda happy.I guess. No,not really.Ignore that.
I think Uglies by Scott Westerfield wasn't as sad as some other ones.
Selection by Kiera Cass (at least to me) was a really wasn't sad. I mean, sure, some people are starving, but it isn't a Hunger Games.
I felt like The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson wasn't that sad. But then again,i don't know if that counts as Dystopia.
Yeah. I'm all out of books.
*sigh*
I guess you're right.

Awo (awosbooks) | 1 comments Harry Potter is a great part of why I am obsessed with books. I started the Harry Potter series when I was in grade two or three, and ever since then I read just about anything I could get my hands on. There was a time in my life when I barely read at all (when I started high school..coincidence, i think not!) but I soon rectified that and now am as obsessed with reading as ever.

It's quite amazing how books like Twilight, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter etc. 'convert' 'non-bookworms' into book lovers!

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Tell us your story Jenny... :D

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Haha. Jennifer and I were friends for about half a year before we realised we both read YA. She was at my house waiting for her mum to pick her up and we started talking. Jenny started to talk about this book. And then after we connected the dots we figured out we loved the same book. LOL. After recommending each other books etc. We kinda nurtured each others book passion. And the rest is history!
