Patricia (pg4003) | 243 comments What format is it? Is it DRM protected? If it has DRM protection, I don't know. If it doesn't, she can just email it to you, probably as a .mobi file, you save it to your computer, hook up your Kindle via USB, then copy/paste the file into the Documents folder on your Kindle.

If her book is on Amazon, she can simply gift it to you at your email address. Then you just accept the gift and it'll download to your Kindle, the same as when you purchase a book.

Jen (jenlb) | 50 comments Go to Amazon, sign in, and go to manage my kindle. Once you're there, look at manage your devices, and your kindle's email address will be beside the name of your device. Get her to attach the book to a blank email sent to your kindle's email account, and it will show up on your kindle shortly after she ends it (don't forget to make sure that your wireless or 3Gis on).

Patricia (pg4003) | 243 comments The only way to get it wirelessly is through Amazon. I think you're going to have to use a computer to get it, no matter which route you go.

Scott Swager (scottrswager) | 23 comments Follow #4 Jen's advice. It is right on. If you don't have a PC, I hope you have an available wi fi connection available for your kindle to connect to the internet.
