✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I am, I've been living in different student rentals for the last 4 years with various different flatmates and I'm now more than ready to live by myself :) I'm moving slightly further out of the city as well, partly to make it easier when I'm on the ambulances and partly because it's cheaper and you get more for your money. I can't wait to find somewhere and get everything organised how I want it :)

message 507: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 450 comments Good luck on the flat hunting, Claire.

Yesterday morning I made myself a new skirt. I can't remember when the last time I sewed for myself. It turned out cute :) Then, I went buy a new red shirt and some really cute black and white wedge sandals to go with it. I'm wearing that for my job interviews on Friday.

And in case I missed telling y'all, I'll be gone this weekend. The girls and I are leaving after school tomorrow and driving to Hub's apartment and spending the night. Friday morning we'll drive the rest of the way to my mom's. I'll do the job interviews Friday afternoon and then we'll drive home Sunday. Soooo, I'll be missing a little bit ;)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 450 comments You know what, let me lower my page count for the RaT to 1100 since I'll be driving the majority of the next few days. According to the post from the Mods, I've still got about 3 hours to change it ;)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 1359 comments **waves to everyone**

Hi Ladies!!! Sorry I have been MIA for several days but life, actually my job, is interfering with my GR time LOL I have been working the mid-shift (10 am- 7 pm) so by the time I get home (usually around 8) get supper,do laundry/chores, shower, pack lunch and get ready for work the next day....it's time to go to bed and read for a few mins before falling asleep LOL I was off yesterday and today but have spent most of my time cleaning, grocery shopping and other misc errands/chores :(

I am trying to catch up with everyone,my challenges and groups today. I posted my challenge above. I am about half way through my series read as well as my color read :) As soon as I am finished with them I will come back and post them in that thread :)

@ Susan Have a safe trip and good luck with the job interviews!! Woooo Hoooo on making your skirt. I wish I could sew but have never been very handy with a sewing machine.

@ Claire I can only imagine how ready you are to live alone!!!! It's not easy living with roommates but at times has it good points. Good luck with finding a new flat.

✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments *Waves at ♥Robin♥*

Brownies are brilliant, it should be a great weekend :) Even if I do have to go straight back to work on Sunday!

I think I've just got fed up of other people's mess and other people's noise. I like spending time by myself anyway and I'm often out so living alone will be a new adventure :)

I've successfully finished Untouchable (Alpha Force, #10) by Chris Ryan and read the entirety of UnEnchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale, #1) by Chanda Hahn , a book I'd thoroughly recommend (Untouchable was good too :) ) Going to start The Way They Were by Mary Campisi if my kindle can cope with searching for it!

I'll update the spreadsheet over a cup of tea in a minute or two and post an update here to see how everyone's getting on :)

Susan, Robin and Kme_17, am I right in thinking that you've not read both a theme and a colour book yet? Just want to check I'm not missing something!!

Mini-Challenge #2:“Behind Enemy Lines”

Taken from Barb on Team Mango Tango:

LOL I chose this book not only because it is on my own TBR but because Barb and I are participating in a challenge called "Help Me Decide" and I picked this book for her to read ☺

Mini-Challenge #5: Dream Character

I would want to be Alexia because she lives in the steampunk world and is very unique and different!!! HOLD UP...WAIT A MINUTE HERE...forgot to mention she's got a hot sexy alpha werewolf eating from the palm of her hand ☺

Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger

If I could meet a character it would have to be Bella so I could beat the snot out of here for being such a stupid, selfish, annoying little twit with no goals,ambitions,dreams,independence.....the list could go on forever.

Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer

Mini-Challenge #6:Oh no, I like it!

I have never read a book just to mock it. I have read books just to see what all the hype was and most of them I DON'T like and don't really see what is so great about them especially these: Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer The Book Thief by Markus Zusak A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James

Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger was highly recommended to me and I was very leery about reading it. It seemed every group I went to there was a disscussion going about this book. My first thought was "another Twilight" but was pleasantly surprised when I read it and it was nothing like what I thought!!!

Mini-Challenge #7:Visit the Garden Cover Hunt
The Secrets of Rosa Lee by Jodi Thomas The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen Bed of Roses (Bride Quartet, #2) by Nora Roberts The Sunflower by Richard Paul Evans The Color Purple by Alice Walker Tulip Fever by Deborah Moggach

Mini-Challenge #8:The dark side of the moon

Club Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #3) by Charlaine Harris Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2) by Charlaine Harris Untamed (House of Night, #4) by P.C. Cast Equilibrium (Portal Chronicles, #2) by Imogen Rose

Mini-Challenge #9: A Rose by Any Name
Teammates Shelves

R-Robyn Carr
O-Origins
B-Beverly Lewis
I-I Am Not A Serial Killer
N-No Place to Run

October Song by Beverly Lewis I Am Not A Serial Killer (John Cleaver, #1) by Dan Wells Origins (Origins, #1) by Mark Henrikson Angel's Peak (Virgin River, #10) by Robyn Carr No Place to Run (KGI, #2) by Maya Banks

Mini-Challenge #10:Uncover the cover

I'm a cover lover! But the synopsis is the deciding factor of to read or not to read.

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 1359 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "You are a braver woman than I am, ♥Robin♥. I wouldn't read FSoG."

LOL why not LK???????? It's just fanfiction of Twilight. If it's the sex scenes that's scaring you away, I'm here to tell you, there are better romance books out there that have hotter/more erotic sex scenes than this book has.

message 534: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Nah. Not my kind of Romance, ♥Robin♥. I've read a lot of reviews and "some of my best friends" love it. It isn't the erotica; I understand she cries after every encounter. **shrugs** Just not my cuppa tea.

message 535: by Robin (Saturndoo) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 1359 comments I can totally understand LK. It wasn't my cuppa tea either but I just had to see what was so exciting about it.......come to find out there was nothing exciting about it at all to me.

Just another Bella that I would like to meet and....well you know the rest of the story LMBO

I'll reach my goal tonight if I finish the book I'm reading at the moment. And I've discovered I don't have such a mad day in the lab tomorrow which is brilliant :)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 450 comments Yes, I am. We packed last night and put all the bags into the car. Now, just to wait 3 hours till school is out and we're on our way :) My 13 YO asked if we were going to pack snacks, cause she knows she'll be hungry this afternoon. Keep in mind, we're leaving 2:30-3ish and getting to our destination at 6:30-7ish and Hubs already said he'd bring us out to eat tonight when we got there LOL

message 545: by ✿Claire✿ (new)

✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments If we go on a long journey, you can guarantee that by the time we hit the dual carriageway (about 20-25 minutes away from home) my sister will be asking if there's anything to eat!! Either that or she's fast asleep :)
