In this heart pounding sequel to The Planner, Homeland Security is using the National Defense Authorization Act to incarcerate tens of thousands of Americans in secret government prisons where they are never heard from again.
When Father Nathan O’Brien is arrested for refusing to preach the messages mandated by the Religious Unity Agency, Michael Linton and Jeff Conners call attention to abuses of government power by setting up The Wall, a website which publishes the names of all those who have vanished. Soon, the entire country is talking about the problems of indefinite detention, but before long, the Electronic Communications’ Agency dubs The Wall the greatest act of terrorism in U.S. history and arrests Michael and Jeff as domestic terrorists.
With Michael and Jeff gone, Michael’s wife Kris and her brother Keith know that the time has come for them to stand up for the Constitution and fight for the laws of our country.

The Last Kingsoul: Emergence for Kindle
When Ay'Sha, a 17 year old high school soccer star, is attacked on her way home from practice, she is thrown headlong into a supernatural quest to restore an ancient, sentient crystal known as the Amphetris, and the race of shapeshifters it created. The Chimeras.
8,000 years ago, the Chimeras hoped to find peace with humans, but men shattered the Amphetris and cursed the Chimeras to a wandering immortality. They were bound to the Kingsouls, humans who hold the key to the Amphetris' restoration.
But the Chimeras have never discovered how to access this key. Many of the shapeshifters have fallen to darkness, many more have surrendered the quest, including their king, Sheshon, who hides in New Orleans in the guise of a museum director named Sean Peterson.
He ignores the whispers that Ay'Sha is the Kingsoul even when fate throws them together. But he is the only one strong enough to protect her from the fallen Chimera who would use Ay'Sha to bring about a cataclysm that will destroy mankind.
Time is running out, and Sean will either face his destiny, and Ay'Sha's, or lose the key forever.
Because Ay'Sha is the last Kingsoul.

NOT ONE AMONG THEM WHOLE by Edison McDaniels (Historical Fiction)
ISBN: 978-1482505160/1482505169 (Northampton House Press, March 2013)
Not One Among Them Whole: A Novel of Gettysburg
Introducing an audacious historical novel told from the viewpoint of the surgeons struggling amid the chaos and carnage of a battlefield hospital at Gettysburg in 1863.
The greatest battle ever fought on American soil is in full tilt. Southern Pennsylvania has become one great grinding stone and thousands of men are dead or dying in its wake. In this tilted landscape, reputations are made, careers are ruined, and men are driven to the brink in the wake of two armies intent on killing one another. What happens next amid the carnage and human flotsam will be unholy, unnerving, and all but unbearable, with only one thing certain: nobody will escape unscathed.
The flies.
The blood.
The wounds.
The soldiers.
The surgeons.
The undertakers.
The insanity.
Not One Among Them Whole, a novel, is vivid in its prose, graphic in its detail, and intense in its telling. A steep descent into madness.

Horror Cabin Review: "Frankenstein REC” is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ for fans of gothic horror, love stories, or Frankenstein ... that’s some truly scary stuff." HORROR CABIN Read the review here:
“Frankenstein REC” is gothic horror at its best with great characters, an engaging, easy to read story, and a protagonist you actually care about.
Frankenstein REC by Costas ZapasThis is not a re-writing of Mary Shellys classic novel. I’m not even sure if it counts as a re-imagining. While it does concern the original monster we know as Frankenstein, it brings with it a modern day appeal that will keep the attention of today’s audience.
It begins as we are introduced to the young, female reporter. She suffers from a form of narcolepsy that leaves her in another world between this one and the other side. We are told when she has these bouts, a chemical is released into her system that causes sleeping hallucinations, leaving her to wonder whether what she experiences are real or not when she awakens.
She works at a local TV station where she serves as hostess of a very popular paranormal segment. Her real passion and research is the legend of Frankenstein. She strongly believes that it is not just legend at all, but rather a very real thing that was discovered by alchemists as a way to gain immortality.
When a theater troupe comes to town to put on a play of Frankenstein, they reach out to her, seemingly for promotion and ticket sales. This winds up not being the case and from the time she meets the “manager” of the group for an interview, things start to get bizarre.
Is she going insane? Is she seeing ghosts? Are her narcoleptic spells transferring into her waking moments? Of course, that’s for you to find out. Because to delve any deeper into the story would force spoilers to a story that you should be reading for yourself.
Two things about “Frankenstein REC” stood out for me as I was reading. First, the style of writing used by author COSTAS ZAPAS is easily read and brings with it a fluidity that belies the book as a whole. Not only is this gothic tale scarily realized with his words, but it brings about several philosophical debates as we are invited into the thoughts of the young reporter as she goes about trying to solve the mystery of Frankenstein.
The second thing that stands out about “Frankenstein REC” is how easily the author combines factual bits of information about how the original Frankenstein got written and blending it seamlessly with the core beliefs of the reporter and the main ideology within the book.
“Frankenstein REC” is an absolute must read for fans of gothic horror, love stories, or Frankenstein in general. While many not consider this “real” horror, I strongly disagree. Thinking about some of the theories in this book makes you REALLY start to wonder if such things exist. If so, that’s some truly scary stuff.
And, for a bonus, it’s now being made into a full length feature film! So get busy reading it now so you’ll be caught up before the movie comes out.
