Name: Rémy Etienne LeBeau
(otherwise known as Gambit; a name which means:
1.
: a chess opening in which a player risks one or more pawns or a minor piece to gain an advantage in position
2.
: a remark intended to start a conversation or make a telling point
3.
: a calculated move : stratagem.
He also goes by the names Le Diable Blanc, Robert Lord, Death, Sir Antony Ellis, Swamp Rat and Gumbo (a name given by Wolverine--a word which here means either anything Cajun from music to food or the Canadian term for boot sinking mud which you find in central prairie land).
Gender: I don't think he'd ever be able to pass as a female. Some people would make it funny, he's already funny enough as himself never mind the idea of him cross-dressing.
Age: He's a comic book character with various stages of age and different universes. The man could be anywhere between 17 and 40 and I wouldn't know. Heck, he could be immortal for all I know. 25? 28? I think he'll be younger in this one. I don't think I could stand being in the mind of someone like him at that age. 25, he'll be 25.
Appearance/Hero Outfit: Auburn hair, nice build, pinched eyes for starters.
His looks are dependent on the artist who draws him (*whispers* Don't tell him he's being drawn, Deadpool hasn't slipped the mat from him yet).

He likes wearing knee caps--which makes sense if you spend your nights thieving in New Orleans, jumping from roof to roof. The last thing you'd want is to meet your doom with annoyingly shattered bones. It really ruins a guy's night.
Unlike most 'Super Heroes' or 'Anti-Villains' he wears his uniform under a large brown duster, a coat where he can easily hide things in pockets.
His mask forms a comfortable surround of his face without getting in his eyes. It also keeps his hair out of the way.
On his chest is a plate formed to it so he's protected from stab wounds and bullets.
His boots are heavy and steel tipped, they add flare since he excels at savate ("old shoe") kick boxing.
Eye Color: Gambit's eyes happen to have a black sclera (normally white part of the eye) and red glowing irises. It's perhaps the only visible oddness about him other than his personality... And people wonder why his parents abandoned him as a kid (oui, I know it's much more complicated then that).

Personality:
Gambit is a model of charisma and charm (and not just because he actually has "hypnotic charm" as an ability). From the moment he could form words, he could talk himself right out of trouble. Women in particular are very taken by his magnetic sort of personality. Men either wanna be his friend or smash his face in, and it's been that way for as long as he can remember. Stop and imagine the amount of punches he's had to deal with.
*silence*
And we go on.
Remy had never been good at denying himself anything, especially if it was already decided that he should not have it. He's the sort of guy that laughs at the Ocean 11 movie for their unrealistic approaches.
I have a whole file on him but telling everything would defeat the purpose of surprise.
He knows that for what he is, people won't always be comfortable around him and frankly he's very good at not seeming to care.
Gambit holds on to his origins and his own personality in a way that's almost written in stone. He doesn't grow up, he doesn't lose his accent (Cajun) and he refuses to be anything but silly and laid back. This being said he does have a temper when you step on the wrong foot. Particularly if you're being a jerk to woman (no wonder he has such a history), his girl or generally acting in a really piggish manner. You can talk it, just don't bring that into an act. Don't try to kill him either, it sort of gets in his face too much.
History: He stole, he got adopted, he stole more, he lost a stem in his brain in an operation, he blew things up, he got married--that lasted past the vows--they never got to the rings, he was supposed to by killed, they exiled him instead. Gambit's with the X-Men, he has allot to learn about living normally. He's divorced now, his wedding is another joke on his luck. The most beautiful day of your life wasn't very smooth, Rémy. One person dead is one too many.
Now that's short form, there is much more, including a 'Sinister' part time job and frosty moments among penguins (l'empereur des manchots empereur).
Powers:
♤ Bio-kinésie (Potential and Kinetic energy manipulation): With nothing but the power source within, he is able to grant a frightening amount of energy to any none-organic matter, forcing it to combust.
Those same abilities provide him with superhuman physical abilities (enhanced strength, speed, reflexes and reactions, agility, flexibility, dexterity, coordination, balance, and endurance), as his body constantly generates bio-kinetic energy and is constructed for constant motion (think of him as a teahcer's worst nightmare, a jittery ADHD product).
When 'charging' an object, it's usually important that he have direct skin contact. Had he not been rid of a couple brain cells, he would be able to charge absolutely anything with a look, uncontrollably.
♡ Charme hypnotique et l'empathie (Hypnotic charm and empathy): As long as you don't know about it, Gambit's hypnosis can make you agree with every word he says (imagine speaking to authority). It's the extreme power of suggestion given to one of the worst people to have it.
His empathy, however, should level his decisions on how to use it. Gambit can tap into feeling another's emotions, sometimes leading him to end other people's sentences by guess. With it, he tends to make many mistakes in how he speaks to a person.
✘ Could drive a saint to drink : His ego should be counted as something of inhuman proportions, a mutation perhaps driven from his other mutations.
Weapons: Anything you have on your person, his bo, oh, and a deck of cards.
