Michael (micky74007) I have been in love with Ireland most of my life, although I am of German/Polish ancestry. My wife is 100% Irish, her family second generation American. Been to Ireland twice, want to go back as soon as I can.

Welcome to the group, Michael, I always love when people have such a high opinion of Ireland.

If you ever find yourself in Dublin, let me know and we'll meet up for coffee.

Michael (micky74007) Thank you. Next time we are in Ireland, we will be making Dublin our base, and use the rail to tour the island. Our problem is my wife loves Dublin, and I love Donegal, and we both love Clare. Way too much driving on a two week holiday. If we ever move there, I am opting for Kenmare.

I haven't actually been to Kenmare, but I'm pretty familiar with Kerry. It's a beautiful county. The whole western coastline is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure it's probably the reason you love Donegal.

Anyhow, when you eventually get to Dublin drop me a line and I'll buy you guys a coffee. I'll even get the cakes.

I-like-to-read (akakate) Hi Michael

Welcome to the group. I'm based in Wexford, have you ever been to this part of Ireland?

Kate

Actually, on our first trip we got good and lost in county Wexford. After a bit of unscheduled site-seeing and a rejuvinating stop at a wee pub, we got on with our trip. The countryside was beautiful. Not a bad place to get lost in.
