In the last day I have lost 6 ratings and 2 reviews.
This seems weird. Just wondering if there's a glitch?

So yesterday it's announced that Amazon has bought Goodreads and already we're losing reviews? I sincerely hope it's just a glitch and not a portent of what's to come.

I hope it's just a glitch as well (and how "wonderful" that it's happening over a holiday weekend, sigh).

Considering that the sale won't even be final for a month or two, y'all are a tad paranoid. Some users did delete their accounts yesterday. Or it could be a caching issue, or lot of other things.

Could it be the reviews removed by members who have left? I am not sure if that would be the case.

I had a while when one of the reviews on my book refused to show up then popped up then went away then came back:)

If reviews were posted within last 48-72 hours, could be caching (for the sake of server performance, goodreads has a deliberate cache minimum of 48 hours on the reviews and ratings now).

Authors and librarians can manually refresh ("edit details" and midway down right hand side is a choice to refresh stats/ratings).

Some members, like myself, are not necessarily removing reviews but may be revising their settings so that only friends can see or so that third party sites cannot use.

That doesn't mean that changes aren't already happening. Paranoid? Not really. Resigned? Most definitely.

I didn't think it was an Amazon thing. Just wondering. Lost another one today. Thanks to all for info. I guess it's just some glitchy thing. Weird though not to have lost 6 I think in a couple of days.
