Just curious why you don't plan to participate. Will you be dropping other partner type challenges as well?

message 104: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments No, I will still do the blind date and pick me a winner partner challenges. I just find I am over committing myself and I feel dropping the copycat challenge will allow me more time for challenges I enjoy more. Plus the participation level in the copycat challenge is high enough that me not participating won't really affect the numbers.

message 105: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Yeah, that is true. I over-committed in 2014 and I like not to do that again this year, but so far I'm on board to potentially do it again. But I'm going to try not to!

message 106: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments LOL Good luck!

Last month I decided to make a few changes that will hopefully help me keep on track. One was dropping the copycat challenge and the other was to not commit to more than 6 BR per month ahead of time. I may join a few extras last minute though depending on how much time I have available.

Andrea Rowland | 14 comments How are partners chosen?

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Andrea wrote: "How are partners chosen?"

The partners are chosen randomly and will be posted on message 3 in the challenge thread. I am a little late but I am just waiting to see if anyone is willing to have 2 partners and then I can make the partners. :)

Whitney Boatright | 578 comments Wonder why they stopped ?

message 115: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I think it's a lot to keep up with and summer trips, and I think participation fell, etc. (Don't quote me on that.) I'm sure they'll bring it back at some point.

message 116: by Christina (new)

Christina | 263 comments I'm not sure if this was asked yet, but we choose books that we haven't read but want to right? And is there a certain amount that we put on the shelf?

Yes, add books to your shelves that you haven't read. I'd say a minimum of 15 is good since your partner will have some choice. :)

message 118: by Christina (new)

Christina | 263 comments Ok thanks :)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I haven't gotten picks yet?

Give it until the 20th and if you still haven't, I will post and I am sure someone would be glad to have another partner. :)

I'll pick for you now :) let me check your shelf !

Anna (Adventures with a Book Nerd) (bookish_anna) Can we add ARCs to our shelves?

message 125: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments Nope, they can be any books (but as a small request, if you can keep really really exposing covers out of that list, that would be really appreciated since we have some younger members).

message 126: by Trisha, lives on coffee (last edited Aug 02, 2016 05:21AM) (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments yay! Perfect! I wasn't sure but thought I'd throw it out there (just in case others had the same question) :)

message 127: by Kaycee (new)

Kaycee B. (kayceelb) | 23 comments I would like to participate but I'm not clear on what to do....so first I say in the other thread I want to join, and then I post a link to my shelf where exactly? And then what happens?

message 128: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments Hell Kaycee!!

You post in the current thread for the month - You just post your shelf there

then, I'll pick partners on the 15th. You just want to try to come back as soon as you can around the 15th to make the picks for your partner.

I hope that helps!

current signs up are here: Feb-March

Jessica (jvblazejak) | 557 comments Are we going to be doing one for Dec-Jan?

message 130: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments Sorry, no! I'm taking a very very small break from it (I was just too busy!)

but we will definitely start back up in January!!
