SOLVED. Fantasy book about male twins of the sun and moon [s]

I read this book when I was in 4th or 5th grade. It was a fantasy book about male twins. One was born under the sun and the other was born under the moon. The one under the sun was born to inherit a kingdom and he was attractive and mean and selfish. On the other hand, the Moon child was a giant and was very ugly but had a good heart. He was taken away from the kingdom. This was all part of a cycle I think. The moon child ends up with the girl. That's all I remember. I'll update if I can remember anything else.

How long ago were you in 4th or 5th grade? Last year? 10 years ago? 30 years ago? (lol, see, we need to know that to have an idea of what time period to search in.)

And it is so nice to see a book where the "handsome" person is mean and evil, and the plain, ugly person is the "good" one.

Brother Night
