"AJ! Emma! What are you two doing out here so late?" An older lady asked, upset. The Nuzleaf by her side nodded, a stern look upon its face as well.

"Ah, we're so sorry, meme!" Emma apologized, feeling guilty.

"Just come on and I won't tell your families about this," The lady sighed. "It's dangerous around here. Follow me." She said and started to walk back, mumbling something like kids these days....

"Sorry," AJ mumbled, then followed the old woman back to the small town that the two girls lived in.

"Alright, now go shoo. People are probably worried sick about you two," The lady pointed an accusing figure at the two once they had arrived, but after a nudge and a point in a different direction from her a Nuzleaf, she ended up walking away.

"I didn't even realize how late it was..." Emma sighed, looking up at the dark night sky.

"Uh, what's a good alibi? We're where at the lab, and we fell asleep," Aj thought up quickly, "How's that sound?"

"Frére knows I don't like going there..." Emma shook her head, thinking. "What about we were at the playground or park? They're both sorta little far from here so it would make sense."

"Hey sis," Her brother, Nick, automatically greeted from the couch. Even though it was late, he was almost always eating some food on that couch while watching late night television. Luckily, he wouldn't exactly care where AJ had been because they were only a few months apart, so he didn't really care (he did care about her, though, don't get me wrong!).

"Oh, and you should grab some pie on your way there. Vermont made some apple pie and it's really good, so I might eat some more of it soon if you son't want any."

Emma was sitting on the front steps going to her house the next morning, sketching something in a notebook. Luckily it was a Sunday, so she wouldn't need to go to Trainer School until tomorrow. Francis, her brother, had been mad at her for getting home late, but he wasn't upset for long.

AJ ran up to Emma's house, waving as she approached, "Hey!"

"Nope!" AJ replied, "Abby made a distraction so I didn't get into trouble, which was math homework, you?"

"Frére was conversing with someone over the phone when I came in. He was mad, but I got off with a warning," Emma explained, going back to sketching.

"We were supposed to sketch a Pokemon that lives around here for class," Emma reminded AJ, showing her the sketch of a Natu resting in a tree. "Did you do it?"

AJ laughed nervously, "U-uh, yeah!" She grined and gave her friend a thumbs up.

"I'm guessing you haven't," Emma smirked a little, resting her sketch book on her lap. "I could go out to the woods with you if I get my frére's permission. We'd need a guardian or something, though."

AJ nodded, "Yeah, that'd be good, I can see if Nick'll come, for some reason my dad thinks he's responsible."

"Since when was Nick responsible?" Emma gave AJ a weird look, like she wanted to laugh but didn't want to laugh, and stood up. She brushed her dress off and closed her sketchbook. "Eh, it'll be more fun. I'll go ask Francis and you can get Nick. Come back as soon as you have an answer."

AJ giggled, "Sure thing!" Then she ran back to her house to go get Nick.

As he said he was going to do the night before, Nick was sitting on the couch with the leftover apple pie. He had the plate on his lap and a remote control in his hand, playing some complicated video game. One of his many Torchic was also perched on his head, finding interest in pecking at his scalp.

"Hey, AJ," He immediately greeted when he heard the door open. It was weird; It was like he knew whoever it was who came in without even looking....

"Hey, Nick," AJ replied, already used to his weird esp abilities, she had seen celeby before and he hadn't question it, "Me and Emma are wondering if you'll be an "authoritive figure" while we go draw some pokemon in their natural habitat. All you have to do it look athouritive and you can even bring the pie."

"Sure, why not?" Nick shrugged and saved his game. "Dad said I gotta get outside anyways with Tew (His Torchic. Yes, I used the same name of his actual pet chicken~) before he gets rambunctious and sets the house on fire." He stood up and simultaneously put his pie plate where he was sitting while throwing his controller in who knows where.

"Lemme just tell dad so he doesn't freak out like he does whenever we're gone." Nick gave AJ the 'one-sec' sign and walked to the hallway. "YO DAD! AJ 'N I ARE LEAVIN'! BYE!" His loud voice echoed down the hall and another yell, probably from the other side of the house, gave the approval for them to go.

"Alright, let's hit the road~" Nick grinned at AJ while giving her a thumbs-up. Tew also situated himself on Nick's shoulder and if someone didn't know him, would think that Nick was some kind of farmer's boy or something.

AJ grinned back, "I just need to get my scetch book!" She ran off, coming back a few seconds later with the said book, "Now we can go!" She opened the door and gestured for Nick to go.
