She finished buttoning up her blouse, absently skipping off to the baby's room.

Samantha was rocking a cradle, sitting sprawled on the floor with her skirt spread out around her shins.
He stood in the doorway, watching her.
Samantha was speaking softly to herself. "It will be a beautiful baby. It will be lovely, and they will be happy. My Mom will probably disown me when I show up at Christmas with a baby in my arms, but I don't care."
He walked over to her and knelt down next to her, wrapping his arms around her.
Samantha looked up at him and smiled. "Hi!"
"Hi," he said, softly and rubbed her stomach, softly.
"I'm exited too, and nervous too. I don't care what you think, I don't think I'm going to be a good father."
Samantha turned and gently kissed him. "Chris, just believe and try and you will."
He kissed her back, "I'm going to try, I just think I won't be a good father no matter what."
"Remember that other part? Believe?"
He rolled his eyes at her, "I believe I won't be a good father."
Samantha gently bit his lip. "No, believe in the positives."
He chuckled, softly, and kissed her.
Samantha gently kissed him in return.
He back slightly and smiled at her.
"I love you so much," he said and kissed her cheek.
He smiled and kissed her forehead.
Samantha smiled. "What should ee name her or him?"
"Do you have any names in mind?"
He kissed her cheek, "I didn't think you remembered her name."
"How could I not?" she asked disbelievingly.
He smiled and kissed her cheek.
Samantha smiled. "If he's a boy, how's felix?"
Samantha squealed and clapped. "Yay!"
Samantha smiled and leaned against him. "It means Happy."
He held her to his chest and rubbed her stomach.
"Sorry," he said, softly, loosening his grip on her.
"It's fine." she said, smiling slyly.
"I know our baby is gonna be beautiful, just like you."
He smiled at her blush and kissed her cheek.
Samantha smiled and leaned into him. "Just seven more months."
"It'll seem like forever, though."
"True." she sighed. She looked down at her belly and smiled.
He smiled and kissed the top of her head.
