The Lonely was one of my favorites. I'm sure you'll enjoy both of them. Please be sure to come back and let me know what you think!!
The Lonely is a great book. But, The Lost Boy, from his POV rather than her's is even better. I think you need to read The Lonely first to get some of the necessary background info. But The Lost Boy is a better book.I'm afraid Escape from Paradise was a DNF for me (and I think I got it free).
The Lonely was just crazy, so much better then I expected...the story kind of "stays"with you. Im going to grab the Lost Boy, as I think I love Eli ;)Escape from Paradise was ok, I'm glad I read that 1st or I'm afraid of have been disappointed.
Comfort food by Kitty Thomas is similar. Its about a kidnapped girl and her captor. It was pretty good

The Lost Boy is just as good. I was so surprised when I learned about Eli's past. Great read!

I've just finished this - Lost Boy - and really enjoyed it but you have to read The Lonely first. I have read Comfort Food, it was ok but not as good as Captive etc.,

The Lost Boy was good, but I was hoping for more information on Eli...like his cutting, tattoos, etc. But I stand by my earlier statement that this is a story that stays with you! Now starting Underestimated!
ps: how do I insert covers in my comments while on my phone?

Yes, I would have liked more information about Eli's past too and for me, Lost Boy was far more emotional than The Lonely.
Who is Underestimated by?

Who is Underestimated by?
Underestimated is by Jettie Woodruff. It was suggested earlier in this thread, that's how I heard of it :)
Underestimated was fabulous !!! I love these deep, dark, twisty kind of books. I really liked that it was unpredictable. Great story. And I would love to have an added novella or something to get more info on Eli, that would be great.

Thanks
Thanks
This is my book so I can't really recommend it. But it is dark and edgy and a psychological journey. It's Book 2 in a series (Pierced Hearts) that I intend to take ever darker. Book 1 was only dipping its toes in the darkness.
I do get comments like this in reviews:
"I can't really explain why I am so in LUST with Klaus, I mean I should be fucking scared of that dude, but reading his POV and knowing deep down he has these urges he is trying to control, and when he talks about his Jodie, my heart drops, because even though he can't say the words, you can tell he is completely in love with his pet."
I'd say Klaus is not as dark as Caleb. But it depends on the reader. Hope you don't mind me commenting. This thread pops up in topics about the first book :) Thanks for the mention!

I really enjoyed this one as well."
Thanks for the suggestion! Being this book is $.99 - how can you go wrong??
Also trying The Lonely by Tara Brown after finding out it's only $1!
