Okay so I've always kind of rooted for Jacob even when he was being a pompous jerk because he had his heart broken repeatedly and he picked up the pieces when Edward took off. So I have been thinking about what if Bella didn't go cliff diving?

Her comment about how she saw her life with Jacob if Edward was never present always haunted me. I think her life would be like that. Jacob is her "living" soulmate and Edward is her "undead" soulmate. I'm not sure why Edward has more of a pull, but I thought Jacob had the higher allure. He can offer her a chance to live and have a family. Jacob never lives up to my standards from the movies at all, but I'll always be a fan of his in the books.
I always thought the what if? and I think I agree with Jacob that if Edward didn't come back she would have been happy with Jacob
I totally agree. I always wish the author would do a what if book, but for now, we'll have to be happy with fanfiction haha.
What do you know? i am with you.... still mostly siding with Voltera though... maybe we can bring Voldemort or Darth Vader into the sequence

It would be, but in the end I suppose Harry DID have to be the one to do it. But you're absolutely right, seeing as it could've been him as the chosen one instead...
