Spencer walked out onto the beach. It wasn't as pretty as the beaches back home in Italy, and it made him terribly homesick. He decided to just walk around, he had been in Immortal Beach for about an hour."I might as well try to learn my way around," Spencer thought to himself.
Spencer's hands darted out to steady the girl that had ran into him. He gave her a smile, "It's quite alright, are you okay?"((lol))
Spencer's eyes widen in surprise, "Really? I just moved here from Rome! Oh and I'm Spencer. It's a pleasure to meet you Hally."It was refreshing to find someone from his home country. Even though Spencer was born in the United States, Italy would always be his true home.
Spencer gave Hally a side smile, "Small world. So you've lived here before?"Spencer was hoping that maybe Hally would be able to help him with finding his way around town.
Spencer smiled, "I've lived in Rome since I was 3, so I don't remember much about the States. I moved down here so stay with some family before I start college in the fall.""I was wondering if you might show me around?," he added hopefully.
"Great! Thank you so much. That's very interesting, I'm going to college more as a formality. I create computer programs, but I would like to start my own company." Spencer told her, while grinning, he was proud of his accomplishments.
"Haha that sounds great, and if you don't mind I'll even pay. As a thank you for showing me around," he gave her a dazzling smile.
Spencer chuckled at her, "Of course, I would never pass up the opportunity to buy a pretty girl some ice cream. I love ice cream myself, I'm a cookies and cream kinda guy."
"Ah, I see, I'm the same way but with hot fudge. And your right you're not pretty, you're beautiful." Spencer gave her a sincere smile.
Carver arrived at the beach, it looked pretty bare. No one was here. He figured it was a good time to go for a walk.
Sailer was paddling out in the water waiting for a good wave to come in. Her blonde hair was tied back into a simple ponytail and she wore a black and pink halter bikini.
Carver seen a surfer out in the water, he had always been fascinated with surfing. He planed to learn how when he found out he was moving Immortal Beach. His parents aren't beach people, they were the city type. So he was actually surprised they agreed to move out here.
When a wave started to form, Sailer started to paddle towards shore in front of it. Soon the momentum of the wave pushed her forward and she stood up. She road the wave skillfully towards shore and when the water became too shallow she picked up her board and walked onto the beach. Her large scar was visible to anyone who was looking but she silently prayed that they weren't.
Carver glanced over at the girl, she seemed a bit uncomfortable so he looked down at the shells by his feet. Absent mindedly he started wondering, if he should try to speak to her. But he didn't want to freak her out.
Sailer was looking down the beach when she saw a neon green frisbee heading in the direction of a guys head, "hey! Heads up!" She shouted at the guy who had been watching her surf. Dropping her board she ran over and caught the disk before it made contact with his head.
When Carver heard her shout he instantly dropped to the ground. He turned over just in time to see her catch a frisbee. When he got up from the ground he was covered in sand. He looked at the girl, and his mouth dropped, she was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen. Until he felt sand in his mouth then he snapped his mouth shut."What a great first impression," Carver thought to himself.
Sailer almost laughed out loud at the expression on the guy's face. He looked like he was in shock. Shrugging it off, Sailer quickly threw the Frisbee back down the beach at the little boy who'd thrown it in the first place. "Obviously that kid has great Aim." Sailer said sarcastically when she looked up at the guy. He was much taller than her and she had to look way up to meet his eye.
"Better than me that's for sure," Carver wanted to smile, though not so much with sand in his teeth, "But you have excellent aim, might have to get you to teach me. He winked at her, atleast he could do that without looking like an idiot.
Choosing to not comment on his poor attempt to flirt with her she looked at him quizingly, "You have sand in your mouth don't you?" She smirked at him, her bright blue eyes were full of laughter.
Carver playfully narrowed his eyes at her, "I have no idea what your talking about." The sand in his mouth was grossing him out, he needed to get something to drink soon.
Sailer rolled her eyes, "You have that same disgusted look on your face that my brother would get when he played sand volleyball and would get a mouth full of sand." Sailer turned and walked toward the canvas backpack she had left on the beach and pulled out a bottle of water. Being the nice person she was, she handed it to Sand boy.
Carver gratefully took the water and washed the sand out of his mouth. "Thank you so much, I thought I was going to choke on it there for a minute." he finally gave her a smile, while handing the bottle back to her."I'm Carver," he went to reach out his hand, but pulled it back when he realized it was sandy as well.
Seeing as he was currently covered in sand, she thought the name Sandman was more fitting than Carver, "I'm Sailer." She introduced herself, "what brings you to this boring old town, Sandman?"
Carver burst out into laughter, "Wanna know the best thing about Sandmen, Sailer Moon? They control your dreams." He gave her a bright smile, while chuckling at his silly but clever joke."My family decided to move her while their not busy with work. Their movie producers so they travel a lot, dragging me and my brother Damon along. I love traveling though the sights, the different cultures, I enjoy it all" his eyes lit up with memories.
"I have a feeling you'll be in my nightmares." Sailer joked, not being serious at all. "Moving around sounds fun, I've lived in California my whole life. My family would come to Immortal beach during the summer. I haven't been here in two years thought.."
"Ouch Sailer Moon, you've wound my pride!" he puts his hand to his chest, as if her words had pierced his heart, "So you have a brother huh, me too! We're twins, I however am the good-looking one."He noticed how she trailed off, and didn't want her to talk about something that made her uncomfortable. So he attempted to change the subject with his charming humor.
"Oh you're the good looking one? Then why were you starring at me with a gapping mouth, Sandman?" Sailer asked, placing a hand on her hip.
Carver gave her a sexy side smile, "Because Sailer Moon, good looking people enjoy the beautiful things in life. And yes, I am the good looking one, though he might disagree."
"Sailer Moon?" She repeated her new nickname, "You're a bit cocky aren't you." She said, obviously stating the obvious.
"Cockiness is all about perception, I enjoy the term confident though. Sailer Moon fits you I think, a tough girl with such an alluring appeal." he chuckled, and started brushing the sand off him...well trying to.
Carver chuckled and wiggled his eyebrows, "Seems so doesn't it, care to join me in the water?"He meant it playfully, Carver might come off as a lady's man. But he was actually a nice guy, he just had a care-free outlook on life.
Sailer shrugged, "Sure why not?" She turned ans grabbed her surf board and walked towards the water, "My mother would be turning in her grave right now if she new I was swimming with a random guy."
Carver stopped dead in his tracks -no pun intended- he didn't know how to respond to that. He looked down at her and sighed, "I'm sorry...it must be rough.."He shut-up because he sounded like an idiot, of course it was rough. He wanted to drowned in the water instead of rinsing off. Oddly, this was probably the most serious he had been since he met Sailer.
"We all have to face death at some point in our lives." Sailer said as she walked into the water, "I've died twice already and I'm only 18." Her heart had stopped when she drowned when she was younger and had to be revived on the beach and her heart stopped for 19 seconds when she was bleeding out on the operating table after her car accident. She lay down on her board and began to paddle slowly and at a relaxed pace.
Carver frowned as he followed her into the water. Going through so much at a young age must have been horrible. He felt his heart breaking for this girl that he barely even knew. But he couldn't help but to be awed by her, and her attitude. He was right, Sailer Moon was one tough chick."That's very true, it's unfortunate that you've had to experience it first hand though. Not only once but twice...you're inspiring." he have her a genuine smile.
"Yeah both my brother and I are lucky to of survived, my mom wasn't so lucky." Sailer was on her stomach paddling through the small waves, Carver was a few feet behind her. "Keep up Sandman! The sharks Like to pick on lone swimmers." She half joked.
Carver smiled and chuckled at her comment, "Thanks for the warning."He didn't know how this one girl could be so strong. It was refreshing to meet a girl that was down to earth. And not the stuck-up high society type barbies his parents usually tried to set him up with.
"Don't worry Jaws wont get you, sharks prefer sweet girls like myself." Sailer joked and sat up on the board, waiting for him to catch up with her.
"Well then I guess I'll just have to protect you. What kind of guy would I be if I let a shark eat you instead of me?" he said as he caught up to her, trending water beside her.
"What can I say? I'm the Knight-in-Shinning armor type when I want to be. The fact that I would be protecting a beautiful girl I just met? Well that's an added bonus." He returned her smile with one of his own.
"You must have girls chasing after you all the time then, Mr. Knight in shining Armor. You being hot is just an added bonus for them right?" Sailer shot back, using his words back at him.
"Actually I don't. My parents are very strict with who I'm allowed to date..." he started to explain, but then her words sunk in and he grinned at her, "So you think I'm hot, huh?"
"Your parents control who you date?" Sailer raised a brow at him ignoring his question, "You are at least 19 years old, legally an adult, they shouldn't have a say over who you date."
"Uh, umm, well yes and no. They would prefer that I didn't date girls that would...damage our image. As prestigious movie producers they can't have me dating someone that would be a PR risk," Carver bitterly, and uncomfortably replied. It was his parents strictest rule, image was very important to them. Carver had never really met anyone he liked before so the rule hadn't really bothered him. Much. Sailer though, she was different, she challenged him and he liked that about her. He liked her...
