David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments I'm new to the group and would like to introduce the three ebook fantasy novels I have published to date:

Fuel to the Fire (Fuel to the Fire, #1) by David Staniforth Fuel to the Fire and Ruler's Desire (Fuel to the Fire, #2) by David Staniforth Ruler's Desire are books one and two of a trilogy. I am currently writing book three.

Alloria (Labyrinth of labyrinths, #1) by David Staniforth Alloria is my latest release, and in two weeks has been very well recieved.

Hope you're intrigued enough to check them out.

Cheers, David :~)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments All three books have received excellent reviews, including five stars each from a respected goodreads reviewer.

Read them here:

Jim | 418 comments This might be a point to mention Ignite's blog, she has a blog where she mentions books she's read.
But she only really mentions those worth a five star review, so they are the cream ;-)

She is also someone who loves fantasy

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments Are none of the other usual suspects around here, Jim?

Jim | 418 comments No, it's awfully peaceful :-)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments Of course, Will's a horror writer now

Jim | 418 comments Is horror a subgenre of fantasy or is fantasy a subgenre of horror? ;-)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments I think horror is a subgenre of life :~/

message 12: by Jim (new) - added it

Jim | 418 comments I've never really read much horror (and somehow I find a lot of horror films 'formulaic') but I think moments of 'horror' might work better slipped into a book in a different genre (if that makes sense)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments It does make sense, and I agree. To be honest horror films, for me, end up being comedies.

Jim | 418 comments I think that the most effective horror can work like Greek tragedy worked, with the violence normally happening 'off stage'. So Oedipus blinds himself, but off stage and comes back blind, you don't get the gore.

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 111 comments I'm delighted to announce that Fuel to the Fire (Fuel to the Fire, #1) by David Staniforth has just been awarded the indiePENdents seal of approval: http://indiependents.org/indie-seal-b...
