ila | 12 comments Hi there, I'm currently reading the great masterpiece by Proust and updating goodreads is proving challenging... there is a billion different editions out there, some of them using the titles of the single book or even of the tome, others using just the title of the series.
I'm a sucker for this kind of things but I really want the different covers showing nice and pretty on my page and that's too hard because I keep finding english editions instead of the original french I'm reading.
I hate I cannot filter my search by language (the by title filter is not so accurate IMO), anyone with more experience would care to have a look at that?

amaldae (staticatku) | 593 comments If your copy doesn't have an ISBN, this might indeed be a bit challenging. (if it does just search by that, obviously.) Have you used the filter by format option?

When this happens to me I like to change the editions page settings so that I can see 100 editions on one page & then search by title with Ctrl+F.

ETA: Filter by language would be extremely useful, though! It should be brought up on the Feedback Group again...

In my experience that happens when the 'sort title' field has not been filled in correctly: titles beginning with an article, or what I've also seen, the original title filled in there instead of the translated one (not applicable in this case, I would think).
