I'm looking for a book that I read as a child. It featured an anthropomorphic animal world. A few of these animals traveled through time to various historical scenes. At each point in time they collected historical artifacts and at the end of the book they returned to their museum in the future where they showcased the items. This was a large picture book featuring scenes from Ancient Egypt, Viking Scandinavia, Ancient Rome, the French Revolution, and others. I can not remember a lot about the characters, only that one was a bear wearing a red fez cap. I have searched all over the internet trying to find the book, but I haven't found a thing. I really need some help. Thank you!

hate to be rude, but when were you a child...that would help us with time period?I remember reading Graeme Base when I was young (elementry school) - so early-mid 90's
Here's another thread where someone is looking for a very similar-sounding book. Maybe something there will help jog a memory. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8...
Sorry, that link above is the German version of Annette Langen's book. Here's the English version: Felix Travels Back in Time.
