So i have been trying for 3 weeks to read this book and am only 300 pagrs in. That is unhead of for me. I find the unabridged version to have lots of useless fillers (i really don't need a play by play of the battle of Waterloo). When I read this in high school i read the abridged version and would recommend that one for people to read. I am really excited to see how the new movie compares to the book though.

This is the third time I've read this book. I read it once in high school and then again when I went to Paris a few years ago. I loved it, but took me awhile to get through too...maybe I should have tried the abridged version?? Lots and lots of details that made it a little hard to stick with the hundreds and hundreds of pages.

The musical was amazing though!! And the movie :)
