I think she (view spoiler)[ is a ghost because in the last chapter, she just disappeared. Ghost or a real person, she still gives me a creep. How she smiles, but her eyes show no emotion and all X| (hide spoiler)]

Dex (view spoiler)[ I like him, but not much. It was very noble of him to defend Perry when that Jimmy guy talked badly toward her. Jerk! But sometimes, he was so weird that it is hard to figure him out. (hide spoiler)]

...I wanted nothing more than for him to pull the car over so I could climb on him lap and molest the crap out of him.

Yes, Dex...he was off (view spoiler)[ I was TOTALLY Floored when they said he was schizophrenic. Or at least on the medication for it.
but it sounds like perry has the same issues. She's been talkingn to no one for years - sees things that aren't real. I can't tell if the author is trying to throw us off or just confuse us.
but it made me nervous about it.

hmmm...you know...I struggled with that...

pros:
they've really gone through some things together and can help keep each other grounded and sane - I think.
they both see ghosts and knowing you aren't alone, I think, is huge!
although she lacks experience - she seemed to do a GREAT JOB of standing up for herself and not necessarily being conned by Dex. But I could easily see where he could con her..ya know!?

age! I love that he is so much older and he keeps calling her 'Kiddo' - degrading...possibly, but it keeps it all in perspective, right?
naive - she is so young and naive. She just doesn't seem to know much about men

But the age different is my biggest concern here. He was 10 years her senior. And like you said, he sometimes treated her like a child.

Oh yes! I loved loved this! such a fun spooky story - and I always read it while everyone was asleep and the house was dark :D it was fun!

I already got book 2 and 2.5

I'm sorry girls but I had to edit some yearbook pages today and my freaking computer petered out on me again! I have to edit the pages and submit before Monday, so I'm trying to do a balancing act but I'm drowning over here...no pun intended! Lol

I will be able to catch up more tomorrow. **SPOILER** I just finished the scene where they were doing their photo shoot the night of the storm and they mysteriously got separated and she kept finding the lanterns. FREAKY!!!
