Okay, the votes are in and the members have made their voices heard. Beginning with the April book selection, and thereafter, there will no longer be a maximum length rule for book nominations.
The final vote was 57.1% in favor of having no set length restriction; 28.6% in favor of keeping the previous 450-page limit; and 14.3% in favor of keeping a set length but increasing it to a higher maximum pages.
So, books of any length can now be nominated within the monthly genres. If, down the road, we find this is keeping to many members from completing the books by deadline, we can revisit the topic again.
In the meantime, when I post each month's nomination poll, I will include a comment that shows the page length of each nominated book, for those would like to factor this into their choice.
Oh, and the April poll is now open! Make sure to cast your vote for the book you'd like to see become our official April book. Happy reading! - DYL
