Strawberry Fields

((Where strawberries are grown. Duh.))

Tomoyo walks along the strawberry patch. She inhaled the sweet scent of strawberries and sighed. Strawberries are great, but they remind her a lot of her mortal life and she misses her mom a lot. She remember growing strawberry patches in their backyard when she was little and they would always fail. She chuckles to herself, and they always end up going to the supermarket to buy strawberries.

After a long, rather lonely afternoon, Lillian decided to take refuge in the Strawberry Fields. She was always attracted to their simultaneously sweet and sour scent. She could almost use them as a metaphor for her life, the ambivalent way her mortal life and her life as a demigod combined.

Unable to resist herself, Tomoyo bend down by a patch of ripe strawberries, while using her left hand to push her silver fringes out of her eyes, she used her other hand to pluck a strawberry.

That's when Lillian noticed that someone else was there. Lillian thought she was a child of Zeus, but it was kind of hard to see her from the other side of the field. She walked toward her, intending to reprimand her for picking the strawberries, but, deciding it would be rather hypocritical to do so,(after all, she had done it herself countless times) she said "Hi!" instead. It would, after all, be good to have some friends during wintertime.

Adele came from her cabin, she thought about staying in there for a while but then thought better of it. Just because she's a child of Hades doesn't meen she can't make friends

Tomoyo looks up when she hear some say hi, she smiles kindly and politely, "Hello" she says getting up. She looks down at the strawberry in her hand and held it up, "Strawberry?" she offered, hey it's always nice to make new friends!

Adele saw some kids over a few rows and decided to go meet them. She walked over, "Hi," she said

Tomoyo turns her gaze from Lillian to Adele. "Hi" she says politely, "What's your name?" she asks them, "My name is Sakagami Tomoyo" she introduced, then added, "Tomoyo is my first name by the way"

"Okay, I'm Adele," she said, "Like the singer only with different pronunciation," she smiled

"Oh, i love her songs" she grinned, "Nice to meet you Adele" she greeted, "May i ask what cabin are you in?" then quickly added, "If you don't want to tell me then it's fine. I'm just being curious"

She smiled, "It's fine, I'm in Hades," she said, "What about you?"

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

"Im in Zeus" she says, "What's it like being a Hades?" she asks. She heard that Hades are not really sociable and they like to scare campers by calling the dead. She shudders a bit, assuring her that not all Hades are that bad.

"It's very interesting," she laughed, "I've only ever met one other Hades kid," she said, "You should've seen me when I found out I was a demigod," she said. "So what about you? how's it being a child of Zeus?" she asked

"Very..very..very...exciting" she thought about it, "In a way" she shrugs, "Not fun when your godly parent gets angry at you for every little thing"

"Yeah," she said, "I'd bet, so is this your first year here?" she asks

She shakes her head, "More like third year" she told her, "What about you?" she asked in curiosity.

"I've been here for a long time," she said, "I normally stay year round, but last time I didn't" she said

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

"Oh. i normally just stay for the summer. But this year, im staying year round" she smiles, "Do you any other people here?" she asks.

Ahh... So these girls were Big Three demigods. She had always thought of them as a bit intimidating, but Adele and Tomoyo seemed nice. She took the strawberry and munched on it silently, thinking.

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

Tomoyo turns to Lillian, "What about you?" she asks watching her chew on the strawberry. She looks like she's thinking, and Tomoyo felt kind of bad interrupting her train of thoughts.

"Oh, me? I'm Apollo. But I stay here year round. Always have. Ever since..." She fell silent, thinking about the attack. It had been all her fault. "Ever since I was 10."

"I usually stay year round" she said to Lillian

"Im starting to stay year round" Tomoyo piped in. "I decided to drop out of high school. I dont think we need much education for fighting monsters"

Adele laughed, "Yeah I guess," she said, "I'm still going to be educated and such, like homeschooling only here at camp," she said, "I'll ask some of those Athena kids, they usually like to do that sort of thing,"

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She laughs, "Yeah, i guess they do like to tutor us about math, strategies and other stuff" she smiles, "I hope they dont give us to much homework" she jokes.

"They probably will," she said, "But it beats going to school any day," she said

She shrugs, "I dont know...at least we had winter, mid-winter, spring and summer breaks" she pointed out, "Oh, and the weekends off..and plus some holidays here and there"

"Okay, you're right," she said, "We'd get more holidays in the mortal world than we would here at camp half-blood, but I still choose to stay here," she said

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She nods, "Yeah, me too" she smiles, "I'm still crossing my fingers for the Athenas to not give to much homework" she smiles.

"That's if any of them want stay year round and are willing to teach us," she said, "But I don't know why they wouldn't want me," she said, jokingly

"I had a teacher one year who gave, like, only me a bunch of homework. Looking back, she was probably a monster, but I was kicked out of that school after a few months so it didn't really matter." She paused a second. "At least the Athenas can't exactly kick us out of here. That's up to Chiron." And she was on his good side. At least, she hoped she was on his good side.

She nods agreeing with Lillian, "Yeah" she sighed, "And i was competing to become part of the student council before i was chased by a monster. life sucks"

"Ahh...Student Council. I remember that. At least, the elementary school version. I've haven't really left except for 1 or 2 weeks at a time for the past, like, 4 years." And every time she had left, there had been some sort of disaster. At least she was able to kill the monsters now. That fight with the Minotaur had been AWESOME!!

"the last time I visited my family or anyone out of camp was last year," she said, "Other than that I'm always here,"

[Ashley]

Cammie walked down the path, trying to clear her head. "How could my dad do this?" she muttered to herself angrily. "I can't save him every time mom goes crazy and she's gonna kill him when she finds out. Unless I get to him first. Well at least I'll have someone here that'll know what it's like to be me." She stopped when she noticed three other girls staring at her in the strawberry field.

Tomoyo noticed Cammie and waved politely, smiling she greeted her with a enthusiastic, "Hello!" she waited for her to respond, wondering what cabin she's in.

[Ashley]

"Um hi." Cammie said. "Are you guys new here?"

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She shakes her head, "Well...I've been here for about three years" then realization hit her, "Are you new?" she asks.

[Ashley]

"No" she says "I've been here since I was 12. I usually stay year round but my dad wanted me back after last summer. Things didn't exactly work out so here I am again." she smiled sadly. "How come I've never seen you guys before?"

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She shrugs, "I don't know, I'm usually in the Arena. What about you?" she asks.

[Ashley]

"I like to go out in the woods and practise alone or with a friend. It's really peaceful up there and a great place to study." she tells the girl. "Oh wait. I just realized that I don't know your name."

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She let out a soft chuckle, "It's Sakagami Tomoyo" she added, just to clarify things up, "And Tomoyo is my first name. Not Sakagami"

[Ashley]

Tomoyo? she thought. I've heard of her. She's the daughter of Zeus. "Well it's nice to meet you." she said politely. "You're in the Zeus cabin, right?"

[Kimiko, House of Night fan:D]

She blinked and nods, "How did you know?" she asks, Am i that famous? I dont think i am... she thought silently to herself.

[Ashley]

"You are the only child of Zeus here." she said "Everybody knows you. Well, they know your name. I didn't know what you looked like until today."

"I'm Adele," she said, "It's nice to meet you"

"Oh.." she smiles, "Whats your name?" she asks.

"I'm Cammie", she said "Daughter of Athena."
