Perhaps someone could look into this, please. As I was entering the book 1812 THE WAR FOR CANADA: A War with a Year Named After It, I saw that the last three books listed had the same title SEARCHING FOR THE FORGOTTEN WAR - 1812 CANADA, with the same year of publication, etc., though only the first listed has a description. Therefore, for now, at least, I've copied it to the two other books. The two books shown with the cover list two authors, the other without a cover image has only one of these. Both authors are listed for the two books listed for the U.S. versions of the war: SEARCHING FOR THE FORGOTTEN WAR - 1812 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I found it under the first author's name.

I have question: when I add a new edition to a book I hit "add a new edition" and fill in the details of the book. But after everything is finished it appears like they are different books and I have to come here and post another "combine edition" issue.So my question is: do I do something wrong? Or the "add a new edition" feature doesn't work?

When you go to this author's page, it show that he has three distinct works but two of three listed here are the same book

I think # 2 should be added as a different edition to # 1 and shouldn't be considered as a seperate "distinct work".

Your explanation was rather confusing, but I think I got them combined correctly. There are three entries - the Canada volume, the US volume, and the third I believe is the 2-volume set.
