"oh? Did i?" He chuckled. "Well then let me fix that." Ryan held her to his chest as he kissed her gently.
She kissed back softly wrapping an arm Aron's his neck
He deepened the kiss, holding her waist carefully.There was a loud cough from the front doorway.
She pulled back surprised her eyes widening,"Ruark......"
Ruark had a few scratches and bruises but was otherwise unarmed. "What in the hell are you doing!?" He growled, though he wasn't talking to Anna."Ruark, let us explain-" Ryan tried to reason.
"what explanation would be acceptable for this!?" He roared, flying at his brother and pinching him.
Ryan stumbled back, hitting the chair he and Anna had just been sitting in. "calm down Ruark!" Ryan told him, though he understood why he was so upset.
"Ruark please"Ana said gently gettingIn between them. She knew he would never harm her,"please clam down"
Ruark took her by the shoulders and looked her in the eye. "Anna, please tell me he forced you. Tell me you love me and I'm misunderstanding something!" He pleadedRyan watched his brother sadly.
"Ruark I'm sorry"she said softly,"this is not how I wanted to tell you....."
Ruark moved away from her shaking his head. Tears formed on the rims of his eyes and he wished he hadn't come back. "how could you?" He muttered. "how could you betray me like thus after everything I've done?!" He bellowed."brother, please-" Ryan didn't want Ruark to wake James.
"don't call me that!" He glared furiously at him. "you are not my brother. How could you betray your brother like this?" He sneered.
"Ruark it's not what you think. It wasn't like that. We would never hurt you like that. Please. Just sit down "
Ruark have a short bitter laugh. "then what is it? Because i think that the woman i love and the brother that i trust have gone behind my back while i was taken hostage and become cheating lovers. Am i right?" He asked in a scornful tone. He sat down as instructed but could no longer look at either of them.
She flinched slight. He was spot on. Damn it."we didn't plan it out like that.....
Ryan sighed. "its nit like we wanted this to happen Ruark. It just... Did." He told him. Ruark glared at Ryan. "did you even try to control yourself-"
"yes, Ruark, i did! I tried to deny it. I tried to treason with myself but in the end I fell in love with her." Ryan said, finally getting upset as well. "I'm sorry that thus hurt you but I'm nit sorry for how i feel." He told him.
Ruark stared at him for a moment before sighing and nodding. "you're right. And i suppose its only up to her who she loves... But i wish she would have figured it out before i jeopardized my life, my son's life and betrayed the assassins and made enemies of the king..."
"I really am sorry Ruark. I honestly believed u loved you.
He looked up at her "at least i know you weren't just using me." He muttered. "where's my son?" He asked."he's in the bedroom sleeping. He's had a rough day." Ryan sighed
"what do you mean?" Ruark asked, frowning with a concerned expression.

"he went to far in the river and almost washed away. I got him before he could be hurt though. Now he's just shaken up." Ryan told him.Ruark nodded, standing. "I'm going to go see him." He walked towards the bedroom.
"That went well"Ana mummered once he was out of sight
Ryan sighed. "i feel terrible. He just got home and had to see that..."
She nodded," that was a horrible way of funding out. We should've been more careful
He shrugged. "too late to worry about it now though. Right?"
She nodded and dighed," I feel horrible putting him through that , " he didn't deserve if abd it was never my intention to fall for you."
"... You don't regret it though, right?" He asked, looking at her.
"No"she shook his head,@i don't regret it
Ryan nodded, feeling relieved. "now we just need to figure things out though. Like if staying here with those two is good or off Ruark is going to kick us out... Though i doubt he will." He said.
"I doubt he ever would but I caused this to him. He's a wanted man because of me. I can't just do nothing about it. He did not deserve that and. Neither does James"
"...i guess its my fault." He murmured. "if i hadn't come you would still think you love Ruark and be happy." Ryan murmured, mostly just thinking out loud.
"No. Don't say that"she shook her head,"your right. I would've assumed that and I do love Ruark as my friend and he is an amazing person but I don't believe we could've lasted very long"
Ryan nodded and took her hand. "You're right. And I'm sure Ruark will find another woman. He is a great guy after all." He murmured.
"He is"she agreed,"I will speak to him later
Ryan looked up at her and asked quietly. "Why me instead of Ruark?"
"What do you mean?"she asked confused
"why do you love me? Ruark is the one that saved you, that treated you well, that made you happy. So why don't you love him instead?" He asked, clarifying.
She looked at him surprised and kissed him softly,"Ruark is the bravest man I've ever met. I love him as my friend and he treated me very well but we never connected. It was physical and though I trust him with my life I never had that connection with him. Unlike you."
Ryan gently cupped the side of her cheek in his hand. "i see... And you enjoy thus connection with me?" He asked, not really understanding but listened.
"Yes."he said softly ,"you make me happy Ryan"
He leaned in and kissed her gently. "that's all i wanted to know." He smiled at her.
She smiled back,"don't ever doubt it"
"i promise I won't." He pulled her into his lap she held her.
Ryan smiled and rested his chin on her shoulder. "maybe someday you and i could have a kid of our own."
She smiled softly,"if things ever settle down I would love that"
"well, it might happen soon if you whether what we did by the tree." Ryan kissed her neck softly, his arms wrapping around her waist.
