How many of our Club Books have you read?

There are many ways to find out how many group books you've read, I recommend comparing with the mod account's bookshelf.

The List of books is in the Bookshelf option on the top right and the comparison of your books read vs the groups bookshelf is here https://www.goodreads.com/user/compar...

I updated spreadsheet after Tusks of Extinction, A Scanner Darkly, and Babel-17.
Will have to keep reading to *stay* at 70%... But I am glad I made it this far. I started nine years ago ~~!
By the way, the group bookshelf hit 400 now.

It's gonna take me a while just to reach 70!"
really impressive as I've only reached 43% of the 405 books listed (175 read)

I do hope to get to 200 someday though!

Recently my pace has been 15 per year, so it will be a while before I reach 300.

Hmm, I don't think I've ever looked into this, but I suspect I'm quite lacking since my reading in recent years has been terribly inconsistent. Maybe this could be a challenge for next year.
EDIT: laughing the first post in the thread complaining about Weaveworld, which I've read! So I can sympathize. I still have intrusive memories about that book and I read it like 30 years ago? I need to shelve that here.

My biggest surprise from the book club books was A Night in the Lonesome October. I wasn't expecting to like it because I don't have much grounding in cosmic horror, but I had a blast reading it and then catching up on the decades of research and theories readers have had on it! It was such a run and rewarding reading experience.
Congrats on hitting triple digits Megan! And yes, Lonesome October is a cult favorite for a very compelling list of reasons, I think. I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience! :)

You have to read 25+ club reads a year to not loose ground because. we add 24 books each year. 157 is more that 112, so win.

Yes. I seem to be averaging about 9 per year. I’m a little suprised it’s that many.

Congratulations Melanie!
Do we know # 200?
I've started Our Wives Under the Sea so that will be #200 (unless I change my mind bc I'm a mood reader.)

Once "Our Wives Under the Sea" is read, I will be at 102 since I've already read it. I'm also planning to put down a few more SFFBC books in the month of January!

And sorry, i had to test the spoiler option somewhere safely :)

you might want to look at the list - I found over 50 that I'd read in the past

If you had to pick one book from the club list that I must read, which one would you suggest?

It says I have read 122 of the 425 books, which is a very cool 28.71%.

I was surprised not to find any of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman books considering how popular they were back in the day. How are they perceived these days? Being a child of the 70s they will always hold a special place in my heart.

Congratulations HeyT, hitting 300 is awesome!!
