Re: Zombies = Monsters ...
So if zombies on cover should look not too normally human-like. For example, look at the gameboard - that should give a good picture of what zombies (or not too normally humanlike)."
I think so. Now that I have Mind Over Monsters in front of me, I think it qualifies. No blood on their faces, but they do look pretty freaky, not what I'd call "normally humanlike."

Amy wrote: "Is the dragon on this cover sufficient to qualify as a monster for the Paris square?

Sorry for the delay in responding, Amy. I thought to respond at home but then it appears we're out of bandwidth! It was so slow to open the page, I couldn't be bothered :p
The task stated that ’monsters’ will have to look non-human / non-animal –ie. if a vampire, it will have to show some non-human features (eg. fangs, shiny eyes etc) or if shapeshifters, it cannot just show their animal shapes –maybe a wolf face with human torso / hands, etc
So I don't think this cover will fit only because all you see is the tail of the dragon so can't tell whether it was purely or partly dragon but to fit the task, it will have to be shown that it's only partly dragon.
Hope this makes sense!

Heh, not my genre either! But... I came across this one which I read for my 'Spa' task.
It's Zombie galore...
But it's erotica.
And I just totally love one of the MC (Daniel) ... He is one of the sweetest character EVER! **he's soooo.... MINE!!!**
Flesh by Kylie Scott
um, just make sure you read the blurb -not sure if this type of content will offend your sensibilities. It will for some... :)

Mind over Monsters is not too bad. It's what I read for the monsters on the cover selection.
Also, Mira Grant's YA series Feed is very good in spite of being about zombies. I actually gave the first one 5 stars, and zombies aren't my thing either.

Thanks for the suggestions, Tien and Susan. The only one that my local library can get is Mind Over Monsters. So I will go with that one.
However, your suggestion, Tien, sounded interesting. It takes a bit of trying to offend me...at least with a book!

Well so far I have been able to get most YA that I want; but when I put FEED in as a title, I got everything with that word but not the single word title. I might try searching for the author. Sometimes that works.

Any of those books are fine, Tea.
And, a very good question! I'm not a fan of zombie books either though I have found a couple I enjoyed ;)
I don't play monopoly often enough! However, I found out that you can actually get out of 'jail' by taking a chance (roll a double) or pay a fine so...
Quarantine:
If you wish to skip Zombie book, choose one of the following option:
1. Take chance and roll 2 die.
If you roll a double, then you have been miraculously healed and you can move on to the next square!
If you fail to roll a double, then unfortunately, you really do have to read a Zombie book to get out of Quarantine
OR
2. Pay $200 (cost of Medical supplies) to move on to next square
