Dallas walked to her house. She walk inside and shouted "Im home!". She sighed before setting her backpack down, walking to the kitchen.
Dallas sighed as she got a apple off the counter and tossed it in the air, easily catching it. She took a small bite, then figured she give the rest to Country. She smiled as her dog stumbled in, tail wagging like crazy, "Hey Dust," she smiled. She stroked the border collie before running out the house and toward the stables, Dusty running at her feet.
Dallas jogged into the stables to her mother and father talking. "Yo. Do you guys know when Taylor is getting here?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder to see Damon bringing Country in. "At about 5," her mother replied as Dallas turned back to them.
Dallas sighed and nodded before turning and walking to Damon. "Hey..." she murmured. "Howdy.." Damon said, he stopped and handed the Country's lead rope to Dallas who gladly took it. Dallas watched as Damon left before she turned back to her horse, she smiled as she held her hand out with the apple on it. Country snorted before eating it.
Mac skated to work and began packaging. His movement were automatic, and his thoughts were on Dallas.
Mac winced as he dropped a block of ice on his hand. He sighed and wrapped his hand up, continuing absently.
Dallas bit her lip softly, trying to focus. She took a shaky breath as she approached Country's stall. She unlocked and opened it, leading Country in before closing it and locking it. She sighed as she removed the lead rope and hung it.
Mac finished. He collected his pay check and left. He skated to the beach and sat on a log, looking dreamily out to the ocean.
Mac dug his nails into the palm of his hand, trying to think about something else. Not happening. He groaned. Why couldn't he stop thinking about her?!
Mac gave up. He took out his phone and began to text Dallas. "Can't stop thinkin bout yo--" he backspaced. "Hey" he wrote instead.
Dallas blinked as her phone went off. She whistled low before getting it out, unlocking it and opening the text. She smiled, 'Hey (:' she texted back.
Mac nodded to himself. "Don't wanna sound stalkerish, but can I have a pic of you for your contact photo?"
Haha. Sure thing! But Imma just send you one off my phone cause I look horrible right now(; hold on.. she texted. She sighed as she went through her pictures, finding a good one with her and her horse out in the fields, her mother had taken the photo since it was a wedding day, so Dallas had on a dress. She smiled lightly before sending it to him.
Mac stared at the picture, smiling. He quickly set it as the id. "Thx. You can't look bad, its impossible. ;) " he laughed to himself as he sent it.
'Haha.. Aren't you very sweet <3..' she texted. She smiled. She stopped walking once she got to the large sliding stable doors that were open. She looked out over the pasture and road, waiting for Taylor.
'Awh. Why exactly do you call me Princess? Not that I don't like it...' she texted with a small smile.
Oh! It is beautiful there.. Wish me and Taylor could ride down there, but dad doesn't let us unless its a weekend.. she texted simply.
Mac nodded. Oh okay. that makes waaay more sense. he said. He looked out at the ocean. Almost sunset.
Ha. Yeah. she texted back. She looked up when her dog started to bark, she smiled as a familiar truck and trailer pulled up.
Dallas blushed lightly, 'Yeah.. Taylor just got here. Bye. Love you to <3' she texted before putting her phone away. She ran over to the truck once it was turned off.
Dallas ran up to her cousin as she stepped out of the truck "Tay!" She said happily as she wrapped her arms around her. They hugged for about 3 minutes before they pulled away. "You got Bek?" Dallas asked as they walked to the back of the horse trailer.
Mac git up and dusted the sand off himself. He suddenly remembered: there was an open house for an apartment he wad looking at.
Taylor nodded in reply as she unlocked the trailer doors, she lets the ramp fall. Dallas smiled as she stepped onto the ramp and heard the familiar whinny, "Hey Bek," she cooed as she stepped into the trailer and walked to the horse's side, calming him down.
