Mary's right about the font changes. Just don't expect to write on one.

Richard - now THAT could be a problem as I'm about 25% along with a scientific book that requires a lot of subscripts and superscripts.

I check scores on ESPN there. I prefer twitter on iPad over the PC because it shows which of your followers follows you back. I take notes on the iPad and email them to myself. And the iBook app highlights, takes notes, has bookmarks, etc.
I will only read print books and only hard cover. Before I formed my own consulting company, I had a position with a large corporation that afforded me little to no time to read for fun. I was reading clinical studies constantly, and traveling to meetings. While traveling to meetings, I was reading clinical studies. Ugh!Since I have altered my schedule with my own business over the last 2 years, I now read for fun every day and put the hardcovers on my shelf. I love to look at them as trophies to remind myself how many I've read and how much fun I'm having now!
Some books, I still prefer hardcover. I have over two feet of shelf space taken up with GRR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, and have allotted more for the final two volumes. Now that I'm retired, though, saving some money is the order of the day, so eBooks help me do that.

I was read..."Awesome Bill. I also used to read only for work. I marveled at how my other corporate friends managed to fit in so much pleasure reading. I think that's why my first full-length book is fiction. Once I found time for myself, I wanted to write something creative and fun. Enjoy your trophies!
I always wanted to write a novel - for as long as I can remember. But I wound up writing a book of non-fiction on leadership. When I tried to write fiction, the first line was, "The sea was angry that day." That's as far as I got. In addition, I think someone else already wrote that line.
