Guess where I'm going?

"Númenor (pron.: /ˈnuːmɛnɔr/), also called Elenna-nórë or Westernesse, is a fictional place in J. R. R. Tolkien's writings. It was a huge island located in the Sundering Seas to the west of Middle-earth, the main setting of Tolkien's writings, and was known to be the greatest realm of Men."
But I guess Gondor is the greatest in Middle Earth ... it sounds like Numenor is west of Middle Earth :)
My turn!
I'm going to a place where a great battle was fought in The Two Towers.
Well, I found this on Wikipedia as well: Gondor is a fictional kingdom in J. R. R. Tolkien's writings, described as the greatest realm of Men in the west of Middle-earth by the end of the Third Age.
I just re-read it now and saw that it was the greatest kingdom of man in the west.
Ooops. Pardon me. My mind did not absorb that the first time.
You are right.
I was supposed to be going to Numenor.
Ah, is it Helms Deep?

Let's see ... hmm ...
I'm going to a place where someone used to live who at one point named themselves after a sea creature.
I thought about it all night, Johanna.
My mind cannot remember this place.
You are going to some hard places that I cannot remember nor find.
I'm lost!
Haha. You got me again.

I'm going to a place which was destroyed by water.
(Same place, by the way. I'm fairly sure it's the only place ever to be destroyed by water in Middle Earth :))
It's fine :)
You're just good at asking hard questions. Nothing wrong with that.
Hmmm... Isengard?

Hmmm... Isengard?

I guess that was kinda tricky :P
Good job! Your turn ;)
I'm going to a place that was once named Greenwood the Great, and that lies east of the Misty Mountains' rain shadow. :O

I'm going to a place which has seen much wealth in recent times, and over which was fought a great battle including more than two armies.

Yes! Good job! :)

Perfect :) Yep, that was it. Thanks for joining, L.Y.! Welcome to the group!
Now it's your turn :) Or Lote's, or whoever wants to do one, lol.

Not a problem! I've got my whole family trained. In other words, I'm no longer the only one who quotes it on a daily basis. :D Glad to be here.
Lote, would you be going to Weathertop? Just guessing, lol. If I don't get it right I'm going to pull out my books. xD

I would! Good job :)

I'm going to a place that has a plant that only grows in one other place.

Ummm .. let's see ... Thinking riddles.
I'm going to a place in which at least one character was accused of being an orc.

We should save them...maybe someone could use them to make a LotR game. That would be cool. :D

Okay. Upon arrival, not every character is introduced at the same time. They're spread out. :)

Okay ... hmmm ...
I'm going to a place where there was seen a deer.

MIRKWOOD! Is it Mirkwood?

I'm going to a place where a conflicted character died.

Me, too :)
Erm. That's gotta be either the Shire, Mt. Doom, or the bridge where Boromir died xD
They're all conflicted ^^

You got it. Amon Hen, lol. Where Boromir died. Your turn! :D

I am going to the home of the prancing pony.
Ps. I know it's easy but the best I could think of.
Directions: Someone mentions a few features of a particular place in Middle-earth. For instance, if you were to choose The Shire, you might say, "I'm going to a place where the Ale never runs dry and where the pipes never stop smoking."
Then someone would guess it, and most likely know where it is you were going. So all you basically do is pick a place from Middle-earth, hint something about it, and let someone guess where it is in Middle-earth you're headed.
Make sense? I hope so.
I'll start first...
I'm going the land that is the greatest kingdom of man.
