Jenn Loved the book! Did you?

Scott Hayden yes indeed

Kressel Housman Me, too. I read it to my kids last year.

Anna The book is such a great read but the movie..um...well..sucked..nope that isn't a good enough word for it...help.

Kressel Housman Yeah, my kids hated the movie, too.

Anna Personally I liked the book better...because...don't laugh...it had the author's magic in it somehow.

Casey Campbell I think the problem with the movie was that they were trying to take the books, which was shown in a serious perspective, and tried to make it a light-hearted family movie. The only character that was even close to his book counterpart was Boone.

Jermaine Hood well acutually i loved the book and the movie i tought they were both delightful hbuy

Alsjem I adore this book and agree with Anna about the author's magic. I have to be honest and say I liked the film too. I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. Different but in keeping with the sentiment. However I watched it a long time ago so perhaps I'm not remembering it correctly.

Anna I grew up watching the movie and read the book a long while after. I enjoyed it. :) I was surprised though, that the movie left out some points of the book. The book had much more action in it than the movie portrayed. I still like the movie, and consider it a companion to the book.
