"it's alright. actually, i should be able to tell when im going to be pranked or surprised with all the friends that i have." she said. Not that she was complaining, but with having the same jokster friends since first grade, she should know when she is about to be pranked. She put away the rest of the papers. "thanks" she said when Jake helped her collect them.
((just to let you know, April 4th to April 7th, i have a prior engagment, so i will not be online))

(( Oh sure thing, thanks for letting me know :) ))
She smiled. "i have extra math homework for the rest of the week" she said. "And he called my mum. Kind of harsh for a first offence" she added. She sat down in the chair beside him.

She smiled. "they would have done the same for me" she said. "if i were as wild as them" she added. "Either way, we have all known each other since first grade, so we kind of owe it to each other to be there for one another" she added seriously.

She smiled lightly. "so uhm.. you wanna start on the project?" she asked. She found that there was nothing more to really talk about.

She smiled lightly "not to worry. after you understand the basic concept, it's really easy" she said. "Here, I found a mini summery that might help you understand it better" she said handing him a paper. She could tell that he was nervous about the project, but it was a rather simple topic.
The article read:
Electroplating was first invented by an Italian chemist named Luigi Brugnatelli in the year 1805. Unfortunately, Luigi’s work was disapproved by Napoleon Bonaparte, so Luigi was forced to stop his work. Luckily, he wrote in the Belgian book of Physics and Chemistry about his discoveries. Some 40 years later, a man named John Wright, who lived in England at the time, discovered that potassium cyanide could be used as an electrolyte for electroplating with silver and gold. “It was a Birmingham doctor, John Wright, who first showed that items could be electroplated by immersing them in a tank of silver held in solution, through which an electric current was passed.” When electroplating started becoming more popular, many people wanted to put patents on the idea. The first to get permission to patent “electroplating” were Elkington cousins in 1840. They bought the patent rights to John Wright's process and held a monopoly on electroplating for many years. In 1857, electroplating was first used for coating jewelry with silver and gold. Electroplating is also used for coating silverware, and kitchen goods. It can make tools more durable, that is if the tool is coated with a non-corrosive, non-tarnish metal. Electroplating is also very useful for building materials. Workers can choose a very strong and sturdy metal, but plated with a non-corrosive and rust resistant metal like nickel. This means that the entire rod does not have to be made out of just one metal. Using the electroplating process also allows affordable common metals to be coated with expensive rare metals like gold.

((sorry about the really long scietific post. I thought that you might want some info on the topic so that Jake knows what he is doing. And sorry if i have any gramatical errors. ))

"uhm, i'd say the model, but we can't do that here, so in theory, next should be the purpose, hypothesis, and all the other scientific reasurch parts" she said. he brain was a little fuzzy for math over load, and from being frightened half to death by Jake, so she was not thinking as clearly as usual.

But suddenly he felt like he knew what he was doing. He stopped writing and looked to Ally," Hey, thanks for researching that and stuff to make it easier on me".
"it's not a problem" she said. "My dad was a scientist. He used to take me to his lab, and i picked up on some things" she said. What she did not metion was, that he no longer did that because he had passed a few years ago.

"it was" she mumbled ever so quietly. You could bearly hear he at all, but there was pain behind her words. "Hey, Uhm im going to go and get some books on Electroplating, I'll be back" she said. She got up from her chair, and headed for the 'Science Fact' section. She took a deep breath. Don't cry, don't cry she told herself.

Ally picked out a few books on electroplating. She bid her time as much as she could so she would be able to recompose herself. When she felt like enough time had gone by, she went back to the table. "So, I ugh, found a bunch of books on..." She was interupted by Moniqa. "ALLY" She heard her name being yelled out. The next thing she knew, she was in a bear hug from behind. Ally lost her balance and fell along with Moniqa. "THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!" Moniqa said in a loud voice, that once again, got them a glare from the librarian. "Your welcome, any time, now please get off of me" Ally begged. This was the second time she had ended up on the ground today. Moniqa got up, and pulled Ally up as well. "Uhm, Jake, this is Moniqa, Moniqa this is Jake" Ally said introducing the two once she got up.

He liked the way Ally and Moniqa seemed to close, he liked that kind of friendship. He didnt really have anything major like that.
He just kept smiling slightly with his hands in his pockets.
"okay, uh, awkward silence" Moniqa said. "Enjoy working on your science project. I'm out" she said as she left Ally and Jake just standing there.
Ally looked at the ground, her cheeks a bit red. "Sorry about that..." Ally said trailing off.
Ally looked at the ground, her cheeks a bit red. "Sorry about that..." Ally said trailing off.

"She is, keeps me on my toes" she says. "She's like my figurative older sister" Ally adds. Moniqa was only 1 year older that Ally, yet Ally acted like the older one because she tended to be more mature. Moniqa and Ally had met when the were just 5, and 6, and of course, became instant friends. Ally and Moniqa are always making sure the other one is safe, and out of trouble, but sometimes, it is hard to do so, with their totally wierd lives.

"I bet she does", he laughed and replied to Ally's comment about Moniqa's energy. Then he coughed and swayed on his heels slightly, he then looked at her with a gentle smiled and said," She seems nice, you guys seem completely different though".
"we are, but like they say, opposites attract right? As kids we were alike in more ways than you can imagin, but as we got older, She got crazier and crazier, while i matured more" she said. "But it's nice to have some adventure in life" She added. She actually enjoyed all the things they did together. last year, the had played so many prank together that it was just unreal. Not that she would reveal such secrets, but still. Time of her life.

Ally put the book down on the table, and looked behind her to make sure on one else tried to kill her today. She sat down, and took one of the books, and opened it up. "I think it would be best to write all the background information first, and then we can work from there" She said quietly. The librarian was giving them looks again. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. She wanted to go and hide in a hole right now, but she would have to brave it over.

"no no, good plan" She said. She hated being called boss. Her dad used to call her that when ever they worked ona science project together. He'd tell her 'Come on Boss, what comes next.' He treated her like a grown up. Like an equal. She shook the memories out of her mind, and started writing the background information.

While writing the hypothesis, he asked," So Ally? Tell me about yourself ". Since they were going to be spending a lot of time together doing a boring project, he felt like they should at least talk. Get to know each other. He knew this was boring for the both of them, so he felt like he should at least converse with her.
Ally hesitated for a moment, and then said "I resently turned 17, i live with my mom, i have no siblings, and was born in Europe" It was all she could think of. What else did she have that went on in her life? Nothing really. After moving from Spain to _________ (Whatever place they are in) She met Moniqa, and they became instant friends. Ally had been three when they moved, so that had given her some time to learn at least basic English, which she was now exeptionally good at according to her English teacher, and trainer.

"Wow, born in Europe, huh? That sounds pretty cool", Jake said while looking at her.
He had never really traveled to Europe, but he really wanted to go. He wanted to travel all around Europe and go to as many countries as he could. Especially Paris.
"I'm also 17. I live with my mum and my little brother. Born here, never really travelled anywhere. I'm half Greek", Jake said.
She nodded. "You're really lucky that you have a sibling. I'd give anything for a brother or sister." She said. Her mother had been pregnant when her dad had died. All the stress and emotion had cause her mother to go though a misscarrage. It was a tough time for both Ally and her mother.

She smiled. "Thanks, but I think I might stick to borrowin books" She said. She knew that he was kiddding about litteral borrowing, but she 'played along'. Ally thought for a moment and then said "This kind of feels like the game of twenty questions. Want play it?" She asked with a smile. She was usually pretty good at the game.

Ally took a moment to think of a question. She wanted to keep it simple, so the conversation would not get awkward. "Alight, What is your favorite food?" She asked after a moment of though. Her eyes were shining bright because even though they were doing a project, she was actually enjoying herself in his company.

Food, he could definitely talk about that, he loved food. He wiggled his eyebrows slightly and then leaned forward, placing his forearms on his knees. "My favorite food has to be Chinese food, in general. The food is amazing and I never seem to get bored of it".
He looked up at Ally with a soft smile and said," What about you?".
Ally laughed. "Well the exact opposite.' She said after a moment. Amazing how opposite their favorite food was. "I preffer Itallian." She said truthfully. Her mother was the Chinese food lover in the family. Ally was the only one with the 'odd' food choice, aka Itallian.

Ally smiled sweetly. She couldn't actually believe that she was having....fun. Jake was awesome. He sure knew how to put a smile on someones face. She was actually pretty happy that they had been paired up for the project. She had figured that she would end up doing all the work, and that everything would be seriously boring, but actually, this was a plesant surprise.
