It's a toss-up between The Last Unicorn and The Haunting of Hill House. I love both books too much!

I was thinking the same thing, but Persuasion might win out. As much as I love Pride and Prejudice, I've always loved Persuasion a little bit more, but it's a bit like choosing a favourite child. Or so I've been told.

I agree. It has everything you need :) Besides a given for me, I would have to say Tess of the d'Urbervilles. I loved that book. I'm not a big fan of re-reading but I can see myself reading that one again.
