What is your favorite genre to read and write?

Both authors and readers have their favorite genre. I personally read and write fantasy. We all deal with life's - sometimes cruel - reality, when I read or write I want to let my imagination fly free. Reading or writing about fantasy worlds where anything is possible is a place where I relax and I get energized to face everyday life. In my writing I create a fantasy world blended with reality. In my Ilona the Hun novels I created a whole new world and exciting secret society of which my characters get a glimpse of at first and later discover its secrets. Ilona lives in the real world, she is a successful doctor and deals with the pain of unreturned love. On her birthday she gets thrown into a whole new world and becomes a part of an ancient society still exist hidden amongst us. She discovers powers bestowed upon her by her birthright. She also finds out how cruel the laws of her tribe could be and discovering her inner strenghts she fights and changes the ancient rules.
