Hi, I tried to delete a book that is utterly without details (apart from title and author), as it is a typo entry (I'm 99.9% positive it is, at least).This is the book that needs to be deleted:

When I tried to delete the title myself, I was told only supers can delete a book with so many reviews. However, when you look at the title to be deleted, you'll see that it doesn't have any reviews or ratings.
In any event, would someone kindly delete the non-book please? Thank you!!

The ISBN is different but it was a "temporary" isbn due to a promotion of the seller site (it's a bit weird, we were talking about it here, but in Italian). Once again, they are the exact same edition

Got 67.I am going to leave 68 for Rivka to weigh in. If the online translator is to be trusted, one of the ISBN was issued to an existing book in order to sell it for discount price, for a limited time only? While that seems wasteful on the part of the seller, I don't think that means the ISBN should be removed.
Re msg 69: You might want to try re-posting your links. I think that they are getting cut off, and sending me to the wrong books.
Re msg 70: Was it published in a collection or anthology. it is better to merge than outright delete if possible.

If that is correct, we do not remove ISBNs like that. They are out of print. Not invalid.

Yes, that's exactly what happened (weird, I know); I don't know, those "temporary" ISBNs don't exist anymore (the seller has reverted them to the "real" ones), since the promotion has expired, and in that thread it was decided not to create them.

This entry appears to be an old radio show - the only hits I get for the title are podcast episodes. Seems unlikely that it's a newly discovered Sherlock Holmes story by Doyle if only one person has listed it - I think it may need Super zapping.The Great Gondolfo

It's the publisher's job to vet whether something is original or plagiarized. Once a book is in the marketplace and people are buying/reading it, it belongs here. Even if the publisher has recalled the book. There are plenty of other plagiarized works in the database. See: Jonah Lehrer, Q.R. Markham, to name two authors whose works (some of them) have been recalled after people bought and read and reviewed them.
Also not to get nitpicky, but a reworking of "Tarzan of the Apes" isn't plagiarism, any more than "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is.

Unless Goodreads is going to hold records of all radio shows, I would still think this needs deleting.

No. We are a catalogue of published books. If you plagiarised JKR's work, then the onus is on her to deal with you, nothing to do with us. We are not copyright holders so we have nothing to do with content, only records of content. The suggestion you give would constitute a valid work under GoodReads policy. If you have strong feelings about this book, the review section is the appropriate place to record your opinions.
This is not the forum for this, however, so I would suggest that perhaps it is more appropriate to Feedback or Support.
Since it wasn't really clear what to do with #70, I went and edited it into an edition of Hemingway's "Short Stories" that wasn't already on Goodreads: I hope it's ok.

If there are any problems with copyright of any sort, then you need to contact support.
Michael, I'm not disputing that, I'm just saying I don't know much about radio plays, and how they are dealt with on Goodreads. ;)
83, are you sure that's a placeholder? It was available on the Tor site from May 2010, while the ISBN/ASIN editions were only available from 2011.
Whew, that was the longest post I've ever written dealing with book issues.

Based on this thread I believe it should be deleted. I will wait a little while for other opinions.

Re msg 96: That book appears to be simply out of print. We do not delete out of print books.
