It's impossible for a movie to ruin a book, those who truly love the book will always feel the same way about it. Like the Percy Jackson movie... It was horrible, but I still adore the series.

And the Hunger Games. To be honest... I was a little disappointed. Too many scenes taken out, too many scenes added in, a character taken out, a GREY cornucopia... but I'm in love with the book and always will be.
Plus Jen Lawr sucks as a Katniss.

Nope I'm pretty sure it was the golden cornucopia. Anyway, the thing I hated most, was the simple reaping scene where Haymitch is drunk and falls off the stage. That would have been hilarious!! They couldn't even do that :( I'm glad Jennifer's dad is the new director.
I'm gonna reread the books soon so I'll let you know ;)

Omg thank god. I was like..... I can't believe what I'm READIN! I've read them twice :D I just found the bit where she explains the cornucopia is a golden shaped horn.
Yeah I imagined it more like an actual cornucopia, than a plane wreck
And Francia Lawrence isn't Jennifer's Dad... I thought that at first but then I looked it up on Wikipedia it has her parents. Wow I feel like a stalker saying that lol :)

Oh, and the Med-Jacks. Do you think if they'd cut any characters, would it be them? Or they're names just never mentioned?
They might be briefly mentioned or they might be In the movie just not entirely explained... Like the avoxs in the hunger games

Btw I'm almost done rereading the first hunger games book and I have to say... Wow.... I agree with you, the movie didn't do it any justice... I wish they had included the avox girl and the touching moment with her and katniss.... Also peeta is way more awesome in the book... Why are the books always so much better?!? I pity the people who only watch the movies.

Ive actually had an experience where I was showing my friend the posters and she was all, *OMG I'm so team peeta,* and im all like, "there's no teams." And she gave me a strange look. So I said, "Even if there were teams why would you choose peeta you haven't even read the book,"
she said," look at him he's way hotter than the other guy "
I don't think my reaction pleased her. Anyway I'm kinda scared that the Maze Runner is gonna be the next big thing, I mean ill be proud but still... people who only read it because its popular and then they pretend they liked it from the beginning

Like they have no right to judge the characters WE know so well because they haven't read the book. Everyones gone b hatin on Gally cuz he's kinda like the 'bad guy' in the first book. He's my fave and I love him forever and it's gonna suck to hear people say shit about him when they haven't even read the books yet... :(

I'm also anticipating people being all "Team Brenda" or "Team Teresa". Like anticipating in a bad way. Although that won't be til the second movie. It seems to me like people try to make a love triangle out of every tiny thing or ship two people when they don't even know each other or something, idk people are so weird

omg, i didnt know they were making a movie, sweet, i loved the books but i couldnt for the life of me get into the kill order.
I like the kill order, but I agree, it was nothing compared to the other books

I think of all the movie adaptations I'm waiting to come out: wwz, Percy Jackson sea of monsters, catching fire, Enders game, and the maze runner... I think I'm most excited for the maze runner. :)
What's wwz? And yeah, I'm hell excited for Catching Fire, but NO WAY near as excited as I am for MR!!!

Haven't read it yet... I got it for my boyfriend (who also hasn't read it yet >_<) he lent it to his friend because he's reading unwholly right now. So I'll read it probably just before the movie comes out. I've heard that the book is really good though.
I do not like that Thomas guy as Newt. I imagined Newt to be bigger/older looking.. And with orange hair.I don't even know how the author described him, after a while I just make my own characters lol
The author described Newt as tall with long blonde hair. Orange hair was not in the description.
That's how I imagine newt to be tall, strong and blonde hair. But sometimes when I read a book and it has a description about a character, I tend to just imgaine something else. :p
No news on frypan or Winston yet?
