Hi Louise,

Florence Witkop Louise,
I'm now following your blog and I suspect I'll actually read each post word by word because it looks truly helpful about marketing, something I suck at.

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Geez, finally sitting at my computer instead of typing on my phone, and I can get in on the blog action!

I'm traditional, though, not indie. Does that make a difference?

Abigail Sharpe

I also run a kitchen blog and we're always looking for guests. It's not a writing blog or a recipe blog, but most of our guests are authors and tell us about their cooking.

message 19: by TKay (new)

TKay (tkaymichel) | 46 comments I'm finishing my first novel after publishing a number of short nonfiction pieces over the years. (My primary career kept me too busy to pursue writing during the 90s but now I'm retired & finally have time.) I've posted the first half on my blog, which is marked 'mature' so it's not easy to find. It's futuristic romance, so not everyone's cup of tea, but I'd love feedback since none of my friends are interested in this type of thing. http://kayemunroewritesromance.wordpr...

I'm frustrated, because I click on the link & it takes me to your reader but won't give me a way to find YOU! I'm going to try & type it in by hand...then I'm going to complain to wordpress about hijacking the link!

message 27: by Christine (new)

Christine Feldman I don't know if anybody's interested or not, but a fellow author "tagged" my blog in hers, and next Wednesday it's my turn to post answers to 10 basic questions about me and my writing. I can then tag somebody else if they'd like to participate and answer the same 10 questions a week later on their own site. I've never played "blog tag" before, but I figured it might be fun to try it. If you would like me to tag your blog at the end of my post next Wednesday, let me know, and I'll send you the questions for May 22nd (answers can be brief). If not, no worries! Just thought I'd pass it along if anyone was interested since I know we've got a few authors on this site. Happy Mother's Day!

message 29: by Christi (new)

Christi Corbett | 2 comments I'm VERY new here and am still learning how to use Goodreads, so if I am not supposed to participate or post here I sincerely apologize.

A brief introduction about me...I am a "sweet" historical romance author, and my debut novel will be published by Astraea Press next month. I have a blog, where I post about my journey to publication (all the good and the bad) and feature guest posts by other authors.

http://christicorbett.wordpress.com

Thanks!

Christi Corbett

message 30: by TKay (new)

TKay (tkaymichel) | 46 comments Welcome, Christi! I'm pretty new here myself but I've found everyone to be quite friendly. I'm a writer myself (though so far I've just published short non-fiction) and I love having contact with others who write. Glad to meet you & I'll certainly check out your blog!

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Christine, if you still need a volunteer, let me know. If you already have one, GREAT.

And Hi, Christi! Congrats on your release.

Hi, Abigail. I do NOT have any takers yet, so if you'd like me to "tag" you in my Wednesday blog post, shall I use your abigailsharpe.com site? And here are the 10 questions you'd be answering in your May 22 post:
1) What is the working title of your next book?
2) Where did the idea come from for the book?
3) What genre does your book fall under?
4) What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
5) What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
6) Who is publishing your book?
7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
8) What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
9) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
10) What else about the book might pique the readers’ interests?

So do you want me to go ahead and tag you? :)

message 33: by Christi (new)

Christi Corbett | 2 comments Wow, what a friendly group! I look forward to learning more about each of you.

Thanks again,

Christi Corbett

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Sounds easy enough. Yeah, www.abigailsharpe.com is fine. Is this The Next Big Thing or something else?

And do *I* have any volunteers to be the next tagee?

message 35: by TKay (new)

TKay (tkaymichel) | 46 comments Maybe someday, Abigail, but I was in an accident & tore the cartilage in my shoulder 6 wks ago so I can only type a line or two until it heals...& that might take a while since I'm doing physical therapy while waiting to see if I need surgery. That's why I have more time here lately: usually I spend every spare minute writing but now I'm icing my shoulder all day. But if you still are looking in 6 months, maybe then!

Christine Feldman Abigail wrote: "Sounds easy enough. Yeah, www.abigailsharpe.com is fine. Is this The Next Big Thing or something else?

Well, the author who tagged me called it the Next Big Blog Tour. That's pretty much all I know about it. I don't know if blog tagging has been around a while or not; I'm pretty new to the whole blogging experience. Guess I'm learning, though!

TKay, I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder. Hope it heals quickly!

message 37: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments TKay, that's awful! Sending my best wishes for fast and pain free healing. :(
