connecting the right author to the right book

today i added a book by gavin wilson to the goodreads library.

i didn't realize it at the time, but there are several authors named gavin wilson's on good reads. "a gift in the dark" should be connected to this guy…

Apparently he's having a trouble setting up his authors account, and connecting his account to his book. from what he's describing it appears that his book is connected to one of the other gavin wilsons, so i may have entered the book data wrong when i added the book to GR. can someone give us an assist connecting the right gavin to his new book?

All right, I've separated from the other Gavin Wilsons'.

John, your Gavin Wilson is Gavin^^^Wilson, where ^ = 1 space.

I've got a similar problem.

Author I'm working with is this John Park
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Whenever he (or I) try to add him as author to
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

we get another John Park.

I checked the author name for novel Janus and looks like he's John^^Park there, with two spaces. If so, could be similar to previous (Gavin) examples. Tried making the John Park of Cities in Space one with two spaces to see if that takes.

Presume there's a better way to disambiguate names, though. Advice?
