Serena thought it was nice that she didn't brag. "Yes, you are. I can't even swim."

"Ok," called Geneva sad calling to Lauren who was back on shore. She waited out on her board for a wave

"I could teach you...it's ok if you don't want to...I mean you don't have to!" Lauren said panicking afraid she was sounding stuck up and bratty.

Geneva spotted a wave and paddled toward it.

Lauren saw Geneva out of her corner of her eye and called to her"You can do it! Just believe you can and try your best! And remember have fun!"

Geneva flashed Lauren a nervous but excited smile and positioned her board like Lauren did right before the wave came. She stood up on her board and the wave moved her while water splashed her face. But that only lasted for not even 10 seconds because Geneva lost balance and fell.

Geneva surfaced, she coughed. Then she swam over to where her board floated and grabed it. Geneva rested her arms on her board and paddled toward shore

Lauren sliced through the water her brown hair trailing behind her, she swam over to Geneva and asked"Are you all right?"

"Sure....." she looked down, "I did a face plant, I called it. Man I shoulda put money on it!" she laughed harder

"Ha! Well when I did it for my first time I did a belly flop and a face plant!" Lauren said.

"Ouch...." she smiled

Lauren spotted a good wave and pointed over to it.

"ok!"she said. Lauren quickly paddled out duckdiving beneeth the waves.

Geneva duckdived and paddled as hard as she could to the wave, but she wasnt very good so Lauren beat her

Lauren waited for Geneva and when she caught up she said"Great job!"

"Thanks, you too. Oh, theres a wave over there," she pointed to their left. "I call it!" and she paddled and duck dived reaching the wave

"Sure!" Lauren said. Lauren spotted another great wave and paddled towards it.

Geneva was ready to ride her second wave. She stood up on her board and lasted just as long as the first time. But this time she didnt land on her face, she smacked her back against the water and scraped her foot on a rock under water. She grabbed her board and waited for Lauren

Lauren stood up on her board and she did a couple of tricks before purposely jump off her board and swam towards Geneva. She paddled over and said"Are you allright?"

"Perfectly fine, but I think my foots banged up." she shrugged it of, "No biggie." then smiled

"Are you sure?" LAuren said.

"ok" Lauren said,"Do you want to heep going or take a break?" she asked.

"Lets keep going for maybe 10 minutes and then we can grab some lunch?" suggested Geneva

"Sure!" she said and she paddled out to another wave motioning for Geneva to follow.

Lauren paddled out and surfed with Geneva having a lot of fun.

"This is the most fun i have had in a while!" shouts Geneva to Lauren while riding a wave before she falls off, again

Luaren paddled over to Geneva and said" I am officialy tired want to get some lunch?"

"Me too. Lets grab something to eat." agrees Geneva and they paddle to the shore

Serena watched them paddle to the shore. "Wow, that was really good!"

"Thanks, but I am just learning..." she shrugged. "We are going to go grab something for lunch. Wanna come with?" Geneva smiled
