Ash | 74 comments Brandon, how is Fate/Stay Night? It has been on my list for awhile. Admittedly, my list is waaaaayyy long.

I think Fate/Stay is 24 eps. Watched the first few a while back. Good stuff from what I recall, but haven't gotten to continue the series.

Ash, the new Fate/Stay Night remake has been epic so far. It is most definitely the best of the new 2014 Fall anime being aired and my favorite among them. The animation is incredible, the characters interesting and the fight scenes beyond boss. I would honestly suggest watching this one as soon as you get the chance.

So far the remake only as 4 episodes out. EP 00 and 01 are 48 minutes long and EP 2 and 3 are the standard 24 minutes. There will probably be around 24 Episodes in total, but it may be more depending on how much they're willing to put into its production.

Ash | 74 comments I know if Mike & Brandon think it's good, I'm almost 100% positive I will agree. You both have excellent taste in anime & manga. I always appreciate both of your opinions. :)

message 71: by Ash (new)

Ash | 74 comments And I prefer anime/manga with awesome fight scenes. Especially if both females & males fight equally.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely put it on the list. Did you see the original anime? If so how does it compare so far?

I did see the original and it doesn't compare. Not even close. First, you have to understand that the original followed the Fate route of the visual novels, which was the least appealing route you could take. The story itself was subpar because it hardly even dips into the background knowledge of the Nasuverse and doesn't even mention some of the most integral parts of the backstory for the series. Now, Fate/Stay Night also had a movie that followed the UBW (Unlimited Blade Works) route, which is the one the remake is taking, however, it lacked the sheer awesomeness of the remake. The remake has some of the most incredible fights and animations I have seen in an anime. The storyline itself is, from what I have watched so far, incredibly deep and rich. And the characters, my god, the characters personalities are spot on. I had some really high expectations for this anime after watching Fate/Zero, and so far, this anime has exceeded them all.

And you're welcome Ash. I enjoy helping others, even if it's just expressing my own opinion on anime.

Psycho-pass is an excellent thriller anime. It kinda reminds me of Ghost in the Shell.

Rosenblue(promoting non-biased,honest reviews & a dislike button on GR) finish an anime called COLORFUL from 1999 on huluplus.

message 77: by Ash (new)

Ash | 74 comments Selena, if Psycho Pass(sp) reminds you of Ghost in the Shell, I REALLY want to watch it. Is there a manga as well?

*checks wiki*

There's a manga called "Inspector Akane Tsunemori," but it came out during the run of the anime, so I assume it's a spin off of some sort.

Just an FYI, it's a thriller, but it's also a psychological thriller. You get into bad guys' heads a lot (since that's kinda the nature of the show). It can get pretty freaky.

Tani | 1 comments I've actually been really good about finishing things lately, so I'm only actively watching a couple things.

I'm watching Fairy Tail 2 as it comes out. An anime that I'm actually caught up on!

I'm also working on getting caught up on Haikyu! I love these whacky and over-the-top sports anime, and the characters in this one are completely cracking me up. I'm about halfway through the first season, and loving it.

message 87: by Terrence (new)

Terrence (grnkrby) | 7 comments I like this season. I have taken a bit of a break to wait for it to get caught up so I can digest the episodes in a handful of sittings (easier for me to remember nanes that way). My main shows?

Alderamin of the Sky
Sweetness and Lightning
This Art Club Has A Problem (really fun)
