Mary Filmer | 119 comments Hi, I have a new book which is out this week and really need some help telling every one it is now available. Mary Sumeridge Beginnings. It is a story about a little girl and her Granny Ann who with the help of Poppy the troll go on an adventure to save a ghost child from a evil witch. Along the way they met many magical creatures and at the end of the first book Mary finds a treasure like no other. You can see Poppy the troll on my web site as I have a animation of him telling you all about the story. http://maryfilmer.com/ This is the first of the books which are all about Mary Sumeridge and I am now writing the third book. Any help at telling everyone about my new series would be wonderful. Thank you for your time. Mary Filmer Children's Author itchdoctor@bigpond.com

C.J. McKee (cjmckee) | 107 comments I'd love to have an interview done! Check out my book and let me know when you're ready.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

In an ancient world, ruled by Dragons...

“...the land has been twisted, defiled, and you are responsible. What more can we do, but banish you from the Realms of Arydd...forever”

Galddor the Dragon Sage has been tasked with the magical tutelage of three humans. Each apprentice has their own paths to seek from their training:

One wishes to become a Stave for the Elvish people of Fid Gow.

Another rejects his lot in life to stand alone.

The third will not accept anything less than second only to the Queen.

Galddor proceeds, knowing full well the past may come back to haunt him, and change the face of the Realms, forever…

Jennifer Wixson (chickenjen) | 3 comments Today I was at a festival selling my books, and someone picked up a copy of one and said: "Peas, Beans & Corn? Hmmm. That's a strange title for a love story!" Yep, that's the title. And there's a madness to my method. (Book 1 in the Sovereign Series is Hens and Chickens) Take a look, and see if you can guess what the title means! Peas, Beans & Corn http://www.thesovereignseries.com/ Jen

message 60: by Carol (new)

Carol Strickland (carolartbeat) | 14 comments I'm available for an interview on my new eBook The Eagle and the Swan, historical fiction set in 6th-century Constantinople. It's the true story of maybe the most important woman of late Antiquity (Empress Theodora) whom nobody knows about. I've done one interview (online at newbooksinhistoricalfiction.com. You can get background on my novel at http://www.theeagleandtheswan.com. As a journalist/critic myself, I'm always happy to answer questions.

message 61: by Colin (new)

Colin Heaton (colin1962) | 39 comments I know all about Theodora, as well as Justinian, and how her very racy, humble beginnings were a shock to the Byzantine world. Sounds like a good one. Have you ever read The Gentle Infidel, a novel about he fall of Constantinople in 1453/

message 62: by Carol (new)

Carol Strickland (carolartbeat) | 14 comments No, I stuck pretty closely to the 6th century sources in my research. But I'm reading a lot of historical fiction now, so I'll check it out. I know that Greeks still cry at the "loss" of Constantinople and that the deciding battle was very dramatic. The legend is that priests vaporized into the altar of the Hagia Sophia when the city fell and that they'll only reappear when the Greek Orthodox church is reinstated. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Mary Hogan | 122 comments Hi Sara: My heart is thumping. Is is fear? Excitement? Intrigue? All of the above? What might you ask me? I wonder. As the author of seven young adult novels, I have often been asked about teen angst and the joys/perils of humiliating my parents in print. Now that my first adult novel will be published in March Two Sisters will you ask me about the freedom to swear in my books? (It's great, btw) I think I'm ready...if you are. Alex Hunter | 27 comments Hi Sara

I don't know what constitutes a 'new author' in this case - I published my first book early last year (The Testing of Archie Rathbone by Alex Hunter) and would be interested to take part in your blog, if you feel that I am still 'new' enough.

I've had a look at some of your interviews to date and I'm intrigued by your choice of questions (there's an argument that sometimes an interview tells us as much about the interviewer as about the interviewee...)

message 84: by K.B. (new)

K.B. Nelson | 9 comments Hi Sara:

You look swamped! But thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. :-) I've published six science fiction books, all with better than four-star reviews, two non-fiction works and a book of contemplative poetry. All my works will be available on audible and iTunes by March of this year with really wonderful (and relatively fresh) narrators. I enjoy trying to create community in the Indie publishing world and would have fun interviewing for your blog. :-)

My books include:
The four books of the Children of the Great Reckoning series
The Dreamcatcher Fallacy Cycle
Folds of the Script
A Little Book of Wholeness and Prayer
At Matthew's Knee (Poetry)
Easing into the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
