Kath McStay | 5 comments C.J. I hope you do.. Very strong, bold women in these books, much like the women in your books, aside from the fact that they aren't human.

Darlene | 8 comments I've finally finished "The Jewish Policeman's Union," by Michael Chabon. I had to get halfway into it before I was interested. To be fair, it would have been an easier read (perhaps) if I had had easy access to the glossary of terms at the end. However, I read it on my NOOK and wasn't aware of the glossary until I finished the book.
I've also finished "Once Upon a Chicken," a new book that I read to review on one of my blogs. Before the next review copy arrives, I'm going to dig into my enormous TBR collection of e-books and see which one strikes my fancy right now. :-)

Oh, I loved Jewish Policeman's--but like all of his books, I knew it would be a slow build but worth it in the end...

Darlene | 8 comments It was well worth it in the end, C.J. And the other book was "Once Upon a Flock." I read it for review on one of my blogs and was really pleasantly surprised. The review will be up in a week or two. A change of pace from mysteries and thrillers.

CJ.. glad to hear non-human not a problem :) These are good books!

Next up? Whatever I owe a review on.. not sure what it will be. I think I have one about shenaigans at the Vatican.. timely :) so if that's next, I will post the title.

I just finished Kindred by Octavia Butler. It is not a thriller but an excellent book. I've just begun Tin God by Stacy Green.
