But if we can't get suggestions from them by the weekend, I think we should come up with four to start a poll on.

So I think we have four themes for next months "Themed Poll".
- Covers with Faces on it
- Cover with Red on it
- Angel Based Books
- Male POV
Should I put these up on March 16th and end it March 23rd??? This gives everyone a week to decide, and then another 8 days to vote on four books from the winning theme. Then on April 1st the winning book will be posted as a group read. Does that sound good?

Then for BOTM we have had a few suggestions.
- City of Bones
- Requiem
- Legend
- Dearly, Departed
And I was thinking also Clockwork Princess because it is coming out at the end of this month. Anymore suggestions???

The only thing I'm hesitant about for the BOTM is that books like Requiem are the third in a series that maybe not everyone has read yet, but if it ends up winning the poll, then I guess it's alright. Same goes for Clockwork Princess. Somebody also suggested a book called
, so I'll add that as my suggestion. Another thing about Requiem: since Delirium is in this month's poll, I think if it does become this month's BOTM, the second book
should be added to the list instead of the third book. Make sense? Then it would go in order. That should apply to the other books too. If our next BOTM currently has a sequel out, that book should automatically be added to the poll in case members want to continue on with a series. And for the theme polls, I agree. But, maybe the poll for both the themed BOTM and the regular BOTM should end 2-3 days before the end of the month, just to give members a heads up with what's happening.
So I would like to create a little survey-like thread in the Welcome folder. It would just be a series of questions asking members about themselves. Some would be just general questions and others would be about reading. I've filled out things like this for other groups, and they're fun. Here are some questions I was thinking of:
General Questions
Age (optional)?
How did you find this group?
Favorite animal?
Favorite color?
Favorite food?
Any favorite number?
What kind of music do you listen to?
Which country would you love to visit?
What's your current occupation? If you're a student, do you know what you'd like to do in the future?
Do you like to watch movies/tv shows? If so, what kind do you usually watch?
If you could pick 3-5 words to describe yourself, what would they be?
Book Questions
Favorite authors?
Favorite books?
Favorite genres (other than just YA books)?
Are there any books that have made you cry?
What do you look for most in a book? In other words, what makes a book great?
That's all I have for now. Do you have any suggestions?
So the poll for the theme starts March 16th ~ ends March 22nd.
The poll for the books from winning theme starts March 23rd ~ ends March 29th.
Leaving them 2 days.
BOTM poll starts March 16th ~ ends March 28th
Leaving them 3 days.
Do you think that will be okay?

Yep. That's good. And the current poll ends on the 15th? I can't wait til the first BOTM is announced. :)
Should we end the poll midnight tonight and post the BOTM on the 15th or end the poll on the 15th and post the BOTM on the 16th???
Just so exited!! =)

The poll does say it ends on the 15th, so I think it should end then, and the results should be posted sometime then. So when you do announce the BOTM, you should announce it in the Book of the month thread in the BOTM suggestion box folder. I'm thinking that could be the place we announce things related to the monthly reads and the polls information.
The themed poll is ending on Friday 22nd and only 33people have voted. I've sent out another invite to those who haven't last night to vote but there aren't anymore votes. What should we do? Should we leave it?
So the theme is Angels. There's five books in the theme suggestion area that need to be added to the poll for it.
I'm going to send out a newsletter type message to all the members as an update of what is going on in the group at the moment. It will either be sent out today or tomorrow. Here's what I'm planning on putting on it:
The current polls
The challenge and the link to it
The new ebook lending system
Links to game sections
And it will be signed as from the moderators.
Hey guys, I'm back after my exams.
Is there any way I can help you guys?
If yes, tell me. I'd love to help.

Does anyone else think we should have an extra BOTM for April? We're supposed to have three in May anyway, so I'm thinking we can have three this month too. We could pick the runner-up for the Angel or regular BOTM polls (whichever has the most votes). This way, we could give greater variety and options. It could get more people involved.
I ve sent out a message to everyone about the additional book. Also a few people have emailed me asking for other book options because they've read those books and the rest of the series. ( this was before we made pandemonium our other BOTM ) I have given them a few options. This will probably happen again. What should we do if they have read them all?
If someone has read all three BOTMs (which I imagine some people have), then I would just encourage them to participate in the discussions and the trivia. I would also encourage them to do buddy reading, which I have set up a folder for.
When are you going to make the polls for the May BOTM. I just want to know so that we could get enough book nominations in time for it.
