As you've seen I have not been active in this group as a mod and I feel it is unjust to be a mod and do nothing. Hence I'd like to quit the position of mod.
I hope you guys will find a new person who's really willing to work for the group. :)

Also how about that poll I suggested for organizing author interviews? First see in the author suggestions thread and if make a poll on the ones which accept private messages or who have an email id posted on their page. Can you look through that Jess?

Yup. That way we'll generate more interest among the members. We'll pick about 8 authors for each poll? How's that sound? Poll ends along with the October BOTM poll. Questions thread posted along with BOTM discussion thread. If we generate enough response we'll close the questions thread on 15 or so and post the interview as soon as we get a reply from the author.

Hi Arshiya! That will be great! And I'm definitely gonna be only tonight for like an hour going through stuff. I'm in high school so I have them all plus art and French. The past weeks have been crazy. How about you, what are your classes?

I know what you mean. My classes have been crazy too. I'm in my first year of engineering so we have a little bit of everything. We have 7 theory subjects and 6 labs. That's a total of 13 subjects.
I had french for 2 years too. In my 11 & 12. The education system a bit different here. We have high school till 10th and after that 11 & 12 th is junior college.
Which year are you in? Sophomore? Junior?

Hey here's a thought: Why don't we give the group a makeover? A lot of threads are not active and member participation is low too. What do you guys think? Good idea / Bad idea?

I was thinking of a whole new look. New masthead, new group pic, the works. Do we want to change the group name though? We need to decide that.
Plus we'll need to do a full analysis of all the threads and see which ones have no comments in the past 1 month or so. We move these to Archives. Stop everything that's not working and replace it by something relatively more catchy.
A general theme would be great too. For example, a group I'm a member in did a pirate theme to increase member participation. It was a kindof competetion. Points for BOTM participation, points for challenges, puzzles etc. In the end of the month or so they made the highest point scorer a mod and changed the group name.
Another group went with a Harry Potter theme (this is currently going on) It runs for a year. Everyone who's interested is sorted into a house and everything they do in the group has varying house points. They compete for the house cup. It's really exciting and fun. But we need to do something unique and popular to attract attention. Also a LOT of planning would be involved.
It'll take a lot of time so it would be best if we do it when all 3 of us are relatively more free.
Are guys up for it? We can plan whenever we are free and execute it all at once. What time would suit you best?
