3/30 update217 shelves/22 books
Thanks for starting a new thread, Slayermel, my OCD was starting to kick in.
I'm still on the same for shelves - 164 but have gained an extra book, now on 13. Good Work! Slayermel.
I'm on 10 books 146 shelves. My ninth book again didn't touch any - need to pick better! Thanks Slayermel
still at 190 shelves but adding 1 more book to bring me to a total of 16 I hate it when you get through a book and it hits none of the shelves you need *sigh* :op
Thanks for the nice comments. I'm using this game as an excuse to read books I've been planning to read for a long time, but just hadn't gotten to yet. Although I'm now having a much harder time finding books that fit that criteria and still fit any shelves. I haven't read more than one book per day, though. We started this on Feb. 1, which adds up to 58 days on Mar. 30. So I'm not even close to that.

all good, i was toying with idea of doing too but didnt get time
14 books175 shelves
I'm finding myself peaking at the shelves a book will touch before i read it to make sure i add to my total. It is forcing me to expand my normal reading habits though...
I've touched the manga shelf, but not the manga-to-read. I'm not sure I'm going to get to that one. They are tough ones. Not my normal thing.Sarah - I plan ahead by looking at the shelves before reading a book, too. It's really the only way to get very far in this game - especially now that we are down to the last few weeks.
I really think it's okay. I don't read anything in the rules about not looking at the shelves before reading a book. There's no other way to be sure of touching all the shelves. And even then I've had a couple of them change on me with shelves I had planned on moving from the top five pages before I finished the book. :(
