"Those buttons are what make me stop and go. I don't need the buttons to be pressed in order to make me stop and go, but they will work if they get pressed."
The button caused Salty to suddenly stop.
Salty chuckled. "That must have been the stop button."
Salty immediately started moving again. "Ah, the start button," he said.
This time, Salty's horn sounded when she pressed it.
His horn sounded again. Salty chuckled.
His horn sounded every time she pressed the button. Soon they had arrived at the beach.
Salty rolled to a stop. "We have arrived," he announced.
Salty couldn't help but laugh as he started forwards. "My dear, you are quite intrigued by my buttons. Seems you're more interested in that than the sea perhaps."
Salty grinned. "And a good one at that."
"Oh, that one makes me go as fast as lightning," Salty said.
Salty suddenly dashed forward, moving along the tracks as fast as lightning.
Salty heard her and made himself go slower.
"Sorry about that," Salty said. "That always happens when that particular button is pressed."
Salty slowly rolled to a stop. "Don't cry," he soothed sympathetically and sadly.
Then Diesel appeared from behind a turn in front of Salty. Salty had happened to go past him as he was running like lightning speed, and Diesel was a little shocked to see that. He knew Salty couldn't have done that all by himself, and he wanted to investigate.
"Go ahead," Salty said. "But be careful. Diesel is straight ahead of us, and he's not a good diesel. He's one of the bad ones."
"Aye," Salty said, eyeing Diesel uncertainly.
Diesel rolled closer to Salty, being on the tracks opposite of the tracks Salty was on. He was staring at Salty with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"Diesel, what are you doing here?" Salty asked Diesel suspiciously.
Diesel sniffed, his dumbfounded look vanishing and being replaced with a suspicious and slightly mean look. "It's not like you to go that fast, Salty," he said in a sly, purring voice. "You can't go that fast unless....you have somebody in there pushing your buttons."

Diesel began to roll up along Salty's side to peek in.
"Diesel..." Salty warned. He was feeling rather protective of Annie.
"Just allow me to look in," Diesel purred, rolling closer until he was right beside where Annie was. He looked over and caught a glimpse of her trying to hide from him.

"Aha!" Diesel's eyes lit up, and an evil smile spread onto his face. "I knew it!"
"Diesel..." Salty warned again.
"Diesel..." Salty warned again.
Diesel snickered at her squeak.
"If you do anything..." Salty threatened.
"Oh, how can I, Salty?" Diesel purred slyly and smoothly. "I'm on the other side of the tracks."

Salty started and shot off like lightning.
But Diesel followed them.
But Diesel followed them.
Salty went even faster in a blur.
Soon Diesel could not keep up, and he slowed to a stop, panting.
Salty did not stop until he reached an old shed.
