Thank you. I am pleased that you recieved it okay. x
Nope, you don't have to be published. It is open to anyone and everyone
Hey everyone who has entered or has been planning on entering or anyone who hasn't seen this yet; there is ONE WEEK left in the contest! Enter ASAP!!
My name is SKN Hammerstone and I am a published YA paranormal author. I was very excited when I came across this group and I wanted to let you all know about a contest going on for short story authors like yourselves.
I accept ANY Genre. (YA, realistic, paranormal, anything)
All submissions must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words.
They must be emailed to sknhammerstone@gmail.com with subject "Short Story entry"
NO ATTACHMENTS!!!! All submissions MUST be pasted into the body of the email. I will not read or accept any attachments
Note: I am not trying to be mean, my computer is tempermental and it won't even open attachments that aren't from an email contact. (ie: I only can open attachments from a select few people. My grandfather, my aunt, my mom, my sisters, and a few of my friends.)
The entry time started February 22, 2013 and will continue through March 31, 2013. I cannot accept any submissions after this time.
You do not have to be a certain age. I do not discriminate against age groups.
You don't have to be a fan of my book. This has nothing to do with my book or my writing.
PLEASE: no graphic sex scenes. I don't know how you could fit that into 5,000 words, but don't. I don't like reading that kind of stuff.
I will accept short stories that you have previously published on your own blog or website.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at the same address, with "Contest question" as the subject
Have fun and I look forward to reading these.
I will accounce the winner on April 5, 2013 and will feature the story on April 6, 2013. I will be placing links to it on my blog and website on my twitter, facebook, and facebook page. If you are uncomfortable with people reading your work, please don't submit.
The winner, in addition to being published on my website, will receive a signed paperback copy of my book and will be asked to return to my website for guest blog posts.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have and am looking forward to reading your stories :)
